SnC July Kit Reveal - Oh So Hot Summer!

I've really enjoyed creating with Scrap-n-Crop's July kit :-) When Val told me the next lot of kits had fabric in them I was quite excited, so had to request they were made up in advance so I could bring them with me on holiday hehehee ... that's why I have been scrapping! ;-) (that's my excuse anyway!). Grinned at the name of the kit too ... oh well the thought of an 'oh so hot summer' keeps me warm while I am enjoying(?!!) the winter here in NZ heheee
.
For some reason I am really into the colour orange as well, so this kit was great ... nice and bright. AND I've used my Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink heaps :-)
.
Loads in this kit - I have completed 8 LO's and 3 cards and I still have half a piece of 12x12 patterned paper left with a few little bits of embellishments ... might use it in my party record mini album I made with the Mothers Day kit (you can see that here).
.
For details of what I used from the kit for each project check the SnC Gallery.
.
A couple of quick cards ...

And another ... like that patterned paper think it's 7Gypsies.
I have been scrapping my Mum's photos for her album for this kit, so if you see photos very similar to what I have scrapped recently that's why! (She has a bigger pile of printed photos than me! So I had fun sorting out photos that matched the papers in this kit!) :-)
.
Cherish LO - cut out the patterned paper for this one.
Autumn LO - had fun with glimmer mist and some tree screens from tattered angels :-)
Butterfly House LO - this is for Mum's holiday album when she came and visited us at the beginning of the year so it's 10x7".
Memory Lane LO - had fun pleating the fabric with this one. Just used tacky tape to adhere it and didn't bother getting the sewing machine out!
Mt Cook LO - The orange diecut frame I actually cut in half and "stretched" it a little and covered the gaps with either photos or a quote. Traced the shape of one of the journalling tags in the kit onto a scrap of patterned paper for the journalling. The 4 little circles are from the corners of the last LO (Maddison) in this post (don't throw anything out you know!) hehee
Sunset LO - got the sewing machine out for this one and enjoyed using up all the scraps of patterned papers I had left over.

Grandsons LO
Maddison LO - used more scraps of patterned paper from the kit to make 4 little flowers.

This kit didn't come with alphas and after I had done one LO (the autumn one) I decided I would select a packet of alphas and try and stick to that for the entire kit :-) So that was quite satisfying actually because I nearly used a whole packet of thickers (used all the vowels, s, d, t, n and r's anyway LOL).
