Woo Hoot Wednesday

Someone has definitely sped the days up! It can't be Wednesday already (well actually it's nearly over ... how did that happen??) I'll blame the Christmas Elves I think!
.
Woo Hoots for ... Mum being here :-)
.
Lyndon having next few days off work and us all going to Port Dickson for the weekend. REALLY looking forward to that.
.
1 week and it's Christmas Eve!
.
Finished my LO's and bits and bobs for Scrap-n-Crop's January Kit Club :) (Woo Hoot for having Mum here I tell you! ... she's looked after the kids today so I could have some un-interrupted time at my scrap desk and actually be productive!).
.
That will do ... my brain is too tired to think of anything else! Every day is a woo hoot really at the moment hehehee :-)
.
.
Just going to do a re-cap here of the last couple of days for my Daily Album record!!!
.
Tuesday - Mum, the kids and I spent pretty much the whole day out and about. We had a few things we had to do and a few things we wanted to do and got them all done, so was a good feeling and the kids were actually very well behaved considering!
.
Check out this Christmas tree made of over 3,000 plastic bottles (all individually hung!! Imagine making sure you had the right length of string!)
Tuesday's lunch was at this delicious restaurant called "theabroma Chocolate Lounge". VERY VERY nice! Check out the drinks Mum and I had ... can't recall exactly what it was, but it was scrummy.

Maddison and Aaron shared an ice chocolate drink ... theirs didn't have ice cream in it and it was a bit sweeter than the one Mum & I had.

The kids patiently waiting in the car for Grandma to come back from an errand :-)

Later in the afternoon we went to another mall, and while I went to look in a shop the kids had a ride on these!!

My daughter the digger driver! ha

And today ... we've been at home all day. Mum has looked after the kids for me while I completed my kit club stuff from Scrap-n-Crop and she also did some baking :-) What a shame, now we have to eat it!! lol
.
Here's little Miss Muffit after she woke this morning. I tried putting her hair into pigtails ... we've had a few laughs! She's actually been pretty good at leaving them in, trouble is she gets into rough and tumble games with Aaron and because her hair is so fine the bands and clips slip out, so they don't stay in for long!

This picture shows how lopsided they were ... she was showing off because I said don't put the toy her in mouth, so she shoved her hand in instead!!

So that's us ... I've got to get on with our packing now. Done the kids clothes and some toys and books for them, but that's about it! So better get scampering. Be back early next week with an update!
.
Have a good weekend all!

Woo Hoot Wednesday

Woo Hoot time again :-)
.
Lyndon's home.
.
One more sleep till Grandma's here :-) :-) :-) Public holiday for Lyndon tomorrow so we are all going to the airport to pick her up.
.
Getting my December & January daily album underway.
.
Watching the kids play for 3 whole hours today (where do they get their energy from??) at a kids gym with Aaron's little school friends.
.
Being awarded a Kreativ Blogger Award from Val @ Scrap-n-Crop. (Thank you Val ... will try and do my nominations this week.)
Winning these 2 stamps on Scrap-n-Crop's House Mouse Fun(d) Raiser silent auction :-) I have yet to christen them ... they might have been in Penny's collection for a few years, but they haven't met the right Mr Ink yet!! :-) They are about to!

That's about it ... need to get to bed ... going to be an exciting day tomorrow :-)

Woo Hoot

Janine's Woo Hoot Wednesday time again.
.
Woo Hoot ... Lyndon's been in town all week :-)
.
Woo Hoot ... 3 weeks tomorrow till Christmas Day.
.
Woo Hoot ... Grandma comes next week - only 8 more sleeps :-) Every day Aaron asks if we can go to the airport to pick up Grandma off the plane! I think the next week is going to be a LONG one with him asking that all the time hehehee
.
What else ...
.
Scrapping goodies in the mail from Liza :-) Thanks so much. (This was just for visiting her blog! What a sweetie - I will find a use for that little stash of goodness I am sure :-) !!!)
.
Completing a LO for Kinda Sweet's next kit, and another one nearly finished. If I had been half way organised I could have had a sneak peek for you! (Oh well I'll do it tomorrow!) :-)
.
"Ice blocks" for the kids :-) I found a set of do-it-your-self iceblock holders at Ikea, and I am really cheap because I just fill them with water for the kids. They think they are SOOOO special hehee :-) I did try watered down Ribena ones, but they make such a mess when they melt all over their clothes, floor, face, so water it is :-) Here's a pic of Maddison enjoying hers this afternoon. (Keeps them quiet for a while too which is a bonus!!)

I have got lots of things planned, I'll list them here just to motivate me to get them done so I can woo hoot about them another week!!

.

* Plan to put the tree up this weekend.

* Plan to decorate this cool wooden Christmas bauble garland with the kids. I am going to let them help me paint and decorate them (I know I am brave!!). I'm going to cut the string off it though and then once they have been decorated I'll tie ribbon on each one separately to hang on the tree. Aaron will get a kick out of it I'm sure (and Maddison will probably lick the paint!! will have to keep her dummy in hehehee).

* Really wanted to participate in Ali Edwards December Daily Album, but just had a bit much happening with holidays, kits and such, so it wasn't a happening thing. But I keep thinking about it (a lot!) and I've decided I will start one from when Grandma arrives till she leaves, so it's a daily album of our time with her. Think that will be quite cool. Have stocked up on chipboard, now I just need to pull finger and make the album!!

* Have a list of things I want to make for Christmas presents (that's real progress for me just having a list!) so now I have my head sorted with what to do ... I just need to do it!! Maybe magically I can get another 10 odd hours a day to do all this stuff!!

.

Okay that's about it. I really need to get scampering and finish this other LO that's sitting on my desk and maybe make a card or two or five :-)

Woo Hoot and randomness

Don't really feel like woo hooting tonight. I am in a foul mood thanks to a certain little 3 year old redhaired boy!!!

How can he sit there for an hour with ONE mouth full (his first) of dinner crying, grizzling and complaining about totally weird and silly things without swallowing any of it! I have to admit I'm not particularly proud of my behaviour in dealing with him and I am certainly not proud of his!!

Anyway, after a couple of trips to the toilet I finally relented and let him spit out that first mouthful, made him eat 3 more (without peas, zucchini and meat!!), shovelled in a pot of yoghurt, a super quick bath and into bed. And thankfully (for his safety and my sanity) he was asleep within 5 minutes! Phew ... what's worse is I don't even feel that a piece of dark peppermint chocolate would make me feel better!!

But besides all that I know I have LOTs to be thankful and grateful for ... just have to see past the haze of crossness!!

First up would be 2 more sleeps till Lyndon's home (yeah he's been away this week!) :-}

15 more sleeps till Grandma arrives :-) (Hope you can cope with your crosspatch daughter as well as your grandkids Mum!!)

Aaron still wanting a hug from me even when I am so mad with him (that really amazes me, truly it does!).

Maddison has a new word ... gar (car). It gets said an awful lot during nappy change time as the change table is under the mirror in Aaron's room and the mirror has a heap of Car stickers on it, so all I hear is "gar, gar, gar, gar, gar, gar ..." :-)

Having a new scrapping toy to play with :-) I bought a Cuttlebug when we were in NZ and got 10 embossing folders for it as well. I've had a little play, but the kids have played with it more than me. Waiting for my scrapping mojo to return! (It better hurry up!)

Woo Hoot too that for the last 2 mornings the kids have woken at 6am rather than 3 or 4am!!

Okay that's about it ... I am going to shuffle photos and papers on my craft desk and see if inspiration strikes.

Woo Hoots and other bits & bobs

Janines Woo Hoot Wednesday again ... eeeekkkk!!!

2 more sleeps before we leave on holiday :-)

Lyndon coming home today at 5pm :-)

Aaron having a sleep after school today so we could go out tonight ... won't go there with Maddison! (she flatly refused!)

Aaron telling me over and over and over again "I love you Mummy" when I was on the computer! Humm ... I suspect there may have been an obvious reason why he was saying that! :-) Nice to hear though, even if he did want to get on the computer! heheee

Found some little shoes in the cupboard that Maddison was given as a birth present and they fit her now! She's in shoe heaven ! :-) Insists on wearing them inside and trots around saying "shhhsss, shhhssss" (her word for shoes).

Finished my little house mini album. Won't show all the pages on here for obvious reasons, but here's some for you to see.

LOVE the wooden laser cut sky scraper scene of KL. It's one of my fav pages in the book. :-)

Did some pages to show places we've been etc.

Back cover - with a pic of a huge moth we saw outside our front door and another wooden laser cut KL thingy megiggy (actually both were fridge magnets and I cut the magnets off).Used stickers from the Rose Moka range that match the papers I used. So quick and they match :-) Even better :-)
.
Half completed my last mini album ... it doesn't look as nice as my house one ... you can tell I have done it in a big hurry, but I'm not going to stress about it. Just need to do journalling, covers and a few embellishments (it needs it since I didn't mat the photos and I probably should have!). Oh well ... people are going to look at the photos right? LOL
.
That's about it I think. I am off to bed, my eyes are bloodshot from too many late nights. Tomorrow's going to be busy as I haven't even started packing yet! (I know, typical us leaving things to the last minute!). So that's the afternoon's task while Aaron is at school.
.
I'll leave you with a couple more sneak peeks at what I've done with Scrap-n-Crop's November kit.

This first one goes with the "cut out" peek from yesterday :-) Can you tell what I cut out?

Woo Hoot

Janine's Woo Hoot Wednesday again :-)

2 more sleeps till Lyndon's home and Woo Hoot he's not going away for any more over night trips till after we get home from holiday :-)

10 more sleeps till we land in New Zealand!!!!!!!!!!!! (Whoa that means tomorrow it's single digits!! agghhhh I have so much to do before then!) :-}

Next Monday is a public holiday :-)

Woo Hoot for free entertainment watching Aaron on a sugar high! Another birthday party today at school, but the "rush" wasn't as bad. And apparently there's another party tomorrow! Help us ... couldn't they space it out a bit! Today's goodie bags thankfully didn't have any lollies ... very sensible! :-)

I took the kids shopping today to buy some birthday presents and Woo Hoot they were very well behaved (for them!). Maddison spotted a doll though and was VERY keen to have it, so I thought why not. I always seem to buy things for Aaron. Well she's made me laugh today. She trots around with it tucked under her arm, then stops for a bit and gives it a hug (all the while burbling away in her own little language), then when she sees something else interesting, she just tosses the doll away and that's that! When she's finished with whatever the interesting thing was she picks up the doll gives it a cuddle and off she goes again with it tucked under her arm :-) LOL

Here's some pics of her ... Sorry about the dummy Grandma, I took it out for the next photos! I couldn't get a pic of her cuddling the doll ... maybe tomorrow. You can see the doll has been tossed while she inspects "Mr Barry Benson Bee". (I will be very interested to see how long the hair on the doll stays neat and tidy for!) :-)

I've finished off 2 LO's today and also made a card for Aaron's little girl friends birthday. Can't show you the LO's as they are samples for next months Kit from Scrap-n-Crop's Kit Club :-) So watch this space ... I will do some sneaky peeks next week. I can show you the card I made though ... using these papers here from the Helen Dardik range.
.
.
.
.
.

That's about it I think. Hope you'll having a good week. :-)

Woo Hoot Wednesday

I just can't believe Wednesday's come round so jolly quick! So ... Janine's Woo Hoot Wednesday. On my list is: -
.
2 more sleeps till Lyndon's home.
.
16 more sleeps till we leave for our holiday (those 16 sleeps are going to go real fast I think!!).
.
Maddison has added a new word to her vocab ... "carcar" which is cracker :-) So she says Muuuuuummmmmmmmm (I presume that's my name LOL), Dada, sh's (shoes), carcar (cracker), claps her hands when you say good girl. I think that's all.
.
Hearing Aaron singing a Barney song while sitting on the potty on Monday night. I was in Maddison's room feeding her and putting her to bed, so I couldn't grab the video camera, but it was so cute. This is what he sung (in his words!):
.
I wuf you, You wuf me
We a happy fambily
A big hug and kiss from you and me
Won't you say wuf me toooooooo
I wuf you, You wuf me
We best friends like friends be
With big hug and kiss from you and me
Won't you say wuf me toooooo
.
:-) Cute huh ? I had a wee tear in my eye actually. He didn't get all the words, but it's pretty much all there. And what made it extra special was he sang it loud and clear (obviously his dummy wasn't in his mouth!) LOL
.
Tonight when Maddison gave him a hug goodnight he put his arm around her and said in a wee whisper "I love you Maddison". And of course no camera anywhere in sight! :-( Might have to have it ready next time.
.
I finished a mini album of our trip to the butterfly park and altered a Maya Road chipboard tin to put it in.
.
Completed a LO for Kinda Sweet which I will blog about later this week or next. :-)
.
Aaron sort of co-operated today while we went through his clothes to see what he can wear when we are back in NZ. It won't be winter there, but will still be colder than here. You can tell he's so happy to have long trousers on and a jacket! LOL Had to have the aircon on so he didn't sweat :-) Anyway he was really quite good in the fact that I managed to get him to try on 6 pairs of trousers a couple of shirts, a vest, couple of jackets and a suit :-) Looks so happy doesn't he!!! hehehehee
This little suit is so cute. Lyndon bought it earlier in the year when he went to India. It's corduroy! Not what one would wear here, but anyway it fits him so he can wear it now and again when we are back in NZ for 3 weeks :-) I need to get the trousers taken up, but otherwise it fits fine.
And Little Miss had to try the tie on :-) NICE, especially matches the Bob the Builder hat she has in her hand LOL
Went grocery shopping this morning at the local supermarket and found this neat tin of "carcar's" :-) I love fancy decorated tins, so another one to add to my collection :-) I like shopping at the local supermarket too, because I can walk there, bring back frozen and breakable goods and the rest get delivered free of charge later in the day :-)

Enjoyed watching Maddison play this afternoon in my plastics cupboard! She loves hats! Check out her beautiful dummy clip. LOL She's a little pest chucking it away then screaming because she can't find it, so this way at least it has something bright and long on it that can be seen if it's under the couch!

This isn't part of my woo hoot list ... but the day ended like this! Aaron had been sitting on the potty in front of his bookcase reading books (nightly ritual!) and I was doing the dishes. After a bit he scampered out and grinned at me! I was very cross!! His face was WHITE! Yep, he'd been into the talcum powder! I grabbed the camera to get a pic of him, but he dived into his bed and wiped it all off on the sheets! Like the trail of footprints out the door?!!

Here's my album & tin. It's pretty simple, but it's done :-) (2 more mini albums to go before I go on holiday!!)

Maddison checking out the tin! Don't tell me she's going to be into handbags as well as hats and shoes! :-)
.
I haven't added much journalling to the album as it's pretty self explanatory. Tried to use gold pen, but it didn't show up very well, so used black. Need to get a fine black pen I think! Also see I have missed some bling of a couple of small butterflies so will have to go and do that. :-) Oh and I want to alcohol ink the silver ring for the album. It doesn't look good silver!
.
So that's our day done and dusted. And I think I will head to bed for an early night (well early for me!). Got a better sleep last night, Maddison did wake a couple of times, but settled again which was nice :-)
.

Woo Hoot Wednesday

Janine's Woo Hoot Wednesday again :-)

2 more sleeps till Lyndon's home.

Woo Hoo that I have survived a week and a half of school holidays! LOL Actually the kids have been pretty good ... during the day! hahaha

Woo Hoot for Aaron, Maddison & I having an afternoon sleep today (if I could call mine a sleep ... I have the weirdest dreams, but I won't go there! Lets just say I didn't feel like I had a proper sleep after those dreams!)

Nearly finished 2 LO's. Hope to be able to post them next week.

I have a scrappy date next Monday morning :-) REALLY looking forward to that. Will do a post after the event. (Have to get busy and make something before hand as I'm doing a little demo! - will be interesting as I'll have the kids in tow!!)

Being able to take the kids to the playground this morning ... it was pretty warm, but glad we went because it rained again this afternoon! Woo Hoot for Maddison - she went down the big tunnel slide by herself (and yes I had the camera, but didn't have the memory card in it duh!!) Oh well, there'll be another time I am sure! :-)

Woo Hoot for kids play date on Monday and hopefully (weather permitting) going to the park tomorrow to feed the turtles with Yara & Senna.

Aaron has made Nana a special card this week :-) hehehe put you in suspense Nana!! You won't get it till your birthday though :-) (Think I need to buy him some more glue!)

Woo Hoo for bonjella ... seems to be helping Maddison settle at night!

23 more sleeps till we go on holiday :-) (not that I am counting or anything!!)

Think that's about it. Hope you are all having a great week.

Who sped the days up???

I wanted to do this post yesterday, and then thought I'll do it today, and here it is late, so I am going to do 2 posts in 1!!

First I want to tell you some funny (well sort of funny) things that happened on Tuesday. We have a thief and a lock pick that live here!! In the morning I took the kids down to the post office to post off some birthday cards and thankfully I did it then because I realised after I walked out that they shut at 2pm for the rest of the week! Then we went to the supermarket and got another extension power board (I am still in the process of tidying up my scrap space) and then ducked into the stationery shop because I wanted to ask if they did wire binding. While I was talking to the lady about size and colours of the wires Aaron was running round the shop like a right little terror, not much unusual in that, but it wasn't until I got home and was emptying out the basket under the pram I realised he'd been putting little stationery sets in the bottom of the pram and covering them over with other things!!! How embarrassing. I couldn't take them back because we had lunch and Maddison was just past it so she had to go to bed. Hopefully they will be open on Friday and I can take them back then. Little monkey. I didn't even see him do it.

I was feeding the kids tea when Lyndon got home that night and he went to go to the bedroom and said "why is our bedroom door locked"? Ummmm I don't know! No guesses to which little red head boy had locked the door huh! Lyndon was busy exclaiming what a problem that was going to be etc. etc. and I just grinned and carried on feeding the kids. Next minute he comes and asked me for an icecream container lid, grabs the scissors and disappears for all of 2 minutes and comes back with this very smug look on his face!!! Did you know you can unlock doors with an icecream container lid?? Sigh ... it's no wonder Aaron is like he is (snigger). Thankfully though he wasn't watching Lyndon unlock the door, so I won't have him attempting to try that trick!!

So ... Wednesday. It's Janine's woo hoot time.

I've had an absolutely lovely day today :-) :-) and have lots to woo hoot about ...

For just over a week Maddison has been sleeping through nearly every night ... this is major I tell you because she usually wakes about 3 times during the night for a feed. It's been awesome to have her sleep through from between 7-8pm at night till around 7am the next morning :-)

I suppose I should woo hoot that it's school holidays this week and next for Aaron!! :-) I think I will survive!

Lyndon has the rest of the week off (Wednesday and Thursday are public holidays and Friday he's got annual leave).

This morning after I put Maddison down for her sleep I left the kids in Lyndon's capable hands :-) and went to Scrap-n-Crop. I had some stuff to pick up that I had ordered and also wanted to get some more alphas. Oh the shop is looking so good now with the paper trays up and filled :-) There aren't many empty ones left!!! I spent a few hours helping Val pack kits for their new Kit Club - you can read about it on their blog. Sharmaine and I will be designing for these kits ... really looking forward to playing with them. They are looking great. And you know what was specially really nice for me to go there on my own? ... I didn't have to constantly see what the kids were getting into and pulling down, it was very peaceful :-)

So I've come away with a pile of stuff to keep me very very very busy :-) Can't wait to get started.

What else to woo hoot about ... oh yeah, in the process of me tidying up my scrap space my darling hubby went to Ikea and bought me another shelving unit and a wardrobe that I had my eye on (check out Dawn's blog here and you'll see what I mean!!) for my craft stash. He also got a computer table so my folding table has come down and I have the old table we used to have the computer on as my craft desk now. The shelves and wardrobe are all in place and I have started sorting and putting stuff away, but have loads yet to do. It will be a slow process I think. I have taken before pics, so when I am finally finished I will blog them :-)

Also - I've done some LO's and a card for Kinda Sweet's Inspiration Kit. Check them out on their blog :-)

Okay, I better get to bed. I'll leave you with some pics of the kids.

They are preparing themselves for the cooler weather in New Zealand when we go home next month hehehee.

Oh, you know I blogged last week about having another week in NZ, well that's been canned. Boo Hoo. Lyndon has to go to Australia for a week so we thought I could stay in NZ with the kids while he did that and then go back together, but we couldn't get flights back for that weekend from Auckland and we have to be back that weekend because on the Monday Lyndon flies out to Japan for the week. So we are coming back here as planned on the Friday and on the Monday Lyndon flies to Auzzie from KL. Crazy huh!

Okay good night from me.

Woo Hoot

I truly can't believe it's Wednesday again! This is gonna be a real quick woo hoot because it's late (fell asleep on Aaron's bed!).

So ... Woo Hoot for Lyndon being home all week, and next :-) (Extra Big Woo Hoot for next week because there's 2 days public holidays - Wed, Thurs - and he's hoping to have Friday off as annual leave). Aaron has school holidays for the next 2 weeks, but not sure if I am going to woo hoot about that!!! LOL

Woo Hoot we all went to the mtg tonight. Maddison had another sleep, put her down about half past three and Aaron went to bed after he came home from school. We woke him at 7pm and I fed him his tea in the car on the way :-)

Woo Hoot I got some scrapping goodies in the mail - the next kit from Kinda Sweet. Looking forward to playing with this one!! :-)

Also got some mail from Mum with stuff in it from Grandad's funeral, so hoping to have some time tomorrow to sit and go through that.

Woo Hoot ... me and the kids are having an extra week in NZ when we are there on holiday :-)

Okay, better get to bed - tomorrows going to be busy as usual.

Woo Hoot

Doing Janine's Woo Hoot Wednesday seems to make the weeks go real fast!
.
.
What have I got to woo hoot about!?? I suppose I could start with the fact I have learnt my lesson about putting sunblock on the kids ... it would have to be MUCH cheaper than trips to the doctors! I can woo hoot too that the swelling in Aaron's face has gone down (that was from sunburn!), he's had the dressing from his arm removed today (that was on a burst sunburn blister that Maddison popped!).
.
I can woo hoot that Lyndon will be home tomorrow night, not that the kids will see him, but he'll be home :-)
.
Woo Hoot for the kids sleeping in this morning. Aaron actually woke at 6.45am crying and woke Maddison, but I put him in our bed and fed Maddison and tucked her back down and they both went back to sleep :-) (Maddison woke about 8.20am and Aaron at 8.45am.)
.
Woo Hoot I got to shower this morning on my own without worrying what the kids were up to (they were still sleeping).
.
On the scrapping front I can woo hoot that I did a LO yesterday and have started another one today, not sure if it will get finished today though!
.
That's about it. Better go and do the dishes, they haven't been done yet. I usually do them before the kids go to bed, but tonight I got Aaron to help me tidy the lounge. And WOO HOOT he actually helped without any applied force from me! :-) Mind you since he's a little bloke I do have to make it easy for him! LOL ... like pile the train track into a heap and tell him to cart it to the box. (Maddison is so different she just goes around picking them up and putting them away, she doesn't have to have them in a pile to be able to see them!! Girls definitely have better vision for finding things than boys!) heehee
