More pics

From yesterday and today.
.
Samuel sleeping on Mum!

Daddy helping Samuel to bring up his wind tonight :-)
Aaron holding Samuel's hand.
Maddison having another cuddle with her baby brother this afternoon.
Big Teddy from Grandma and HUGE bunch of flowers from Ah-Mah ;-) (Ah-Mah means Chinese Grandmother)
The first night involved lots of snuggling, feeding and not a lot of sleeping on my part. Today there's been big long sleeps and long feeds ... hopefully tonight will be more of the same :-)

39 Weeks

Thought I would finally get a photo of what the kids quite often do ... talk and feel the baby :-)

Wednesday

It's amazing what Grandma pulls out of her suitcase!! ;-)
.
This morning she had some special plastic shrink wrappers for boiled eggs for the kids. So they had toast & a boiled egg for breakfast. It was VERY exciting as I am sure you can imagine. hehee

After the kids were at school Mum and I went and did a grocery shop - couldn't resist taking this photo, 39 weeks tomorrow!

Thanks for visiting.

Random Post

38 weeks yesterday ... didn't get a photo so asked Lyndon to take one of me this morning. His comment, while looking through the camera lens, was "why do you do this to yourself?" LOL Ummmm I think it's so I can show the little/big nipper just what they did to me when they are older! heheee
.
So here I am in all my bulky glory. Had a Dr's visit yesterday as well. All good with the baby, although he/she hasn't engaged yet (and I don't think they have any intention of doing so).

Yesterday was a busy day. Maddison woke up, well actually I had to wake her up, crying and holding her ear. She wouldn't let me look at it. So I asked if it was sore and did she want to go to the Dr. I got a very vigorous nod all the while holding her ear. So got Aaron off to school and Maddison and I managed to jump in a taxi (Lyndon had taken the car to work) that was dropping someone off at our condo so that was really lucky. Got to the Dr's 5 minutes after they opened and waited an hour to be seen!!!!!! Verdict - ear infection and now she's on antibiotics. It was interesting to watch her wandering around the Dr's waiting rooms getting into things while holding her ear hehee (wish I had taken the camera actually!). Managed to flag down another taxi pretty much straight away after walking out of the Dr's.
.
Got home - gave Maddison her medication. Had something to eat and drink, caught our breath for 20 minutes then got another taxi to go to the chiropractor. Unfortunately I wasn't as lucky when leaving there at flagging down another taxi, so Maddison and I walked half way home before one actually stopped and asked if we wanted a lift somewhere! 'YES PLEASE' was my answer! LOL It was so hot out there, I was really feeling the heat. So home in time to do something about lunch then time to collect Aaron from school. I basically spent the rest of the afternoon lounging on the couch! Tried to get Maddison to have a sleep, but her medication was obviously working a bit too well and she wasn't at all interested (shame really because then I could have had a snooze too!). Lyndon came home nearly on time (traffic was shocking) so kids and I met him in the foyer and I jumped in the car to go to my Dr's appointment and he went back upstairs with the kids (they spent some time in the playground with the bubble machines). :-)
.
So by the time I got home (waiting time at the Dr's was pretty long as well - so glad I didn't have the kids with me this time), I was well and truly over visiting Dr's for the day.
.
Today is going to be busy as well. Lyndon has gone to the hospital this morning to get his stitches out (hopefully!). I want/need to do some baking this morning and after school Aaron's little friend is coming to play. I am figuring I can sit on the couch, eat some of my baking and watch them build a train track! ;-) hehehee
.
So ... off to the kitchen now otherwise there won't be anything yummy to snack on later.
.
Thanks for visiting and Happy Friday to you.

3 weeks

Till due date.
Getting heavy, feeling the heat more, the bigger I get the shorter my temper seems to get!, baby has dropped, but hasn't engaged yet, there must still be room to move in there because the baby sure hasn't slowed down!, getting annoyed that I keep misjudging how big my belly actually is when going in and out from the laundry! Going to the Dr's this afternoon for another checkup.
.
Maddison has finally said what she thinks the baby will be ... she says a boy, Aaron is still convinced it's a girl :-) hehehee I asked Aaron what he thought we should call the baby then since he thinks it's a girl (and we still haven't decided on a girls name!). His suggestion this morning was "we should call 'him' Maddison's baby"!!! LOL (He gets his 'her's & him's' mixed up hehehee).
.
50% chance one of them will be right in their guess anyway! I have no idea. And no I don't want to know. There has to be some surprise factor in there doesn't there?? ;-)
.
So far I know he/she has lots of hair, is busy, likes doing hand stands and kicking my internal organs up towards my throat.
.
What I don't know is if it's a boy or girl, whether it has big wide feet like Aaron, or tiny little feet like Maddison, red hair or dark hair, loud or soft cry (although if they want to be heard I suppose it will have to be loud especially if the other two are around!!), so many things to find out!! :-) Looking forward to it all actually.

Some Random Bits & Pieces

Remember the happy mail I got a few days ago ... well this also came with it :-) Scrap-n-Crop had an egg hunt on their website (not going to tell you how long it took me to find the 15 egg pictures), and I won :-) Woo Hoo I got a pile of Chatterbox goodies and some delicious chocolates! Aaron took this photo of me ... it was the least blurry!

Here's a random picture of Maddison yesterday - she went to sleep on my knee in the afternoon so I just laid her on the couch and about 15 minutes later she had moved and was sleeping like this!
This morning I've had fun :-) I went to Scrappingville to do a mini album class with Piradee Talvanna. I haven't quite finished it yet, but I will blog some pics when I do (hopefully tomorrow). But you can see Piradee's sample here. Mine looks a little bit different (of course!) because (a) I haven't been to Italy, let alone any place in Europe and (b) I wanted to be able to use the album, so I have done it with this new baby in mind. It's browns, greens, a little bit of blue and orange. Hopefully it will do for either a boy or girl. I can add in other coloured embellishments later on anyway to suit whichever it is :-)
.
Here's a pic of me (being the beached whale on the right) with Sharon (owner of Scrappingville on the left) and Piradee (teacher in the middle).

The kids stayed at school for the crèche programme after school today as I knew I wouldn't be finished the mini album class within 2 hours. And when I picked them up I was told that school is closed next Monday and Tuesday as they have been informed 4 students have got H1N1 virus. A bit scary really. The 4 kids that have the virus weren't from either Aaron or Maddison's class, but still it's close enough I suppose. So will have to phone the Dr this afternoon and find out if there's any precautions we need to take.
.
On that note I will go and put my feet up ... I do not like having fat ankles and for some reason with this baby I have started getting them this week! Ugggghh ... didn't have them with the other 2! Less than 4 weeks to go though :-)
.
Thanks for visiting.

Lyndon and I had a busy day :-) We looked like this ...

and snigger snigger ...
today we look like this!!! LOL
We took some photos this morning before Lyndon went to work, and I should have really been on a little stool! Maybe then Lyndon's arms would have fitted around me hehehee
.
There's been a few changes in 15 years wouldn't you say! ;-) 15 years ago I had BIG glasses and skinny waist ...
Today I have skinny glasses and a BIG waist! sigh ... Who would have thought I would be 35 weeks pregnant on our 15th wedding anniversary!

I think the most notable change with Lyndon is his hair! (I will say no more hehee)

Our 10th wedding anniversary I was about 20 weeks pregnant with Aaron ... 5 years on from then look at these little rascals! :-)
The kids are back to school today after a week and a half's holidays. YeeHaa for me :-) Aaron took his/Daddy's (who's ever it is!) dinosaur skeleton to school and Maddison decided to take Piglet (she's trying to tie a wet wipe 'scarf' around his neck hehee).
.
So I am off to get some tidying up done around here while the kids are at school this morning and hopefully I will have some time to scrap this afternoon.
.
Thanks for visiting.

25 Weeks

I asked Aaron to take a photo of me this morning ... the only one that wasn't blurry he cut the top of my head off!! He's getting better though. He just uses my little point and shoot as the DSLR is way to heavy for him, especially with a battery pack on.
.
So here I am barefoot & pregnant at 25 weeks ... less than 15 weeks to go (hopefully!)

And of course Maddison wanted a turn taking pics too ... This is a nice photo of Aaron & I without our heads and Aaron is holding a card he made for his teacher! Sigh ... it was a cool card too. Anyway Maddison was pretty pleased with herself taking it!

Bits & Pieces from the last few days

This is a bitser of a post! Just some randomness (with photos ... of course!) from the last few days.
.
Friday I got some pics after school of Aaron & Maddison with Yara & Senna. I think Aaron was totally over photos by this stage! hehehee
(Yara if you are reading this Aaron says you can come back now!!) :-)

Maddison & Senna having their last hug :-) (Maddison nearly fell back into the garden!)
Last Friday when I was in Aaron's class I noticed the kids all had free hand drawings on the wall ... Aaron's was the only one that I had no idea what it was! So I asked him ... "It's a dump truck Mummy"!!! (Well what do you know ... looks more like the rubbish in the truck to me hehehee) I guess if you use your imagination ... nope still doesn't work for me!

Monday the kids had a holiday from school. So we spent some time in the playground (with them getting VERY wet!!!). Unfortunately whatever Aaron does Maddison has to do as well!! You see when you put your arms up on to the round bowl, the water runs straight down your arms and onto your tummy! Great fun!!!

Then in the afternoon the kids made some cards ... with some major help of my stamp collection and glitter glue (suppose that's one way to use up the glue!).

These next few photos of Maddison are in sequence - it's what she did for every card she made!
#1 - squeeze the bottle like mad
#2 - final details require serious concentration while pressing the glitter glue nib hard onto the cardstock!
#3 - Grin to ones self when finished!
#4 - then throw back head and laugh like crazy because it's just so incredibly exciting! ;-) heheee
I do hope the recipients appreciate the amount of glue that has gone into these creations! :-)

While they were doing that I tried to do some scrapbooking! Sort of worked if I didn't stress about the amount of glitter glue being wasted heheee.
.
I did some LO's for Kinda Sweet - the ladies had given me some papers last year and have been so patient waiting for something from me! So finally I have done 3 and have a couple more in mind to do. Here's a sneak ...

Today the kids were back at school so after I dropped them off I headed to a mall to find some more maternity clothes ... HOW DEPRESSING. Arrgh ... okay I have big hips & backside ... but really XXL should fit right? (When I was telling Lyndon he just said "yes dear"!! huh!) Anyway I did get a tee-shirt to wear ... had to show here because I laughed out loud in the shop when I saw it!
Snigger snigger! Yeah whatever ... there could be a little less of the largeness magic I'd say! ;-)
.
Want to record here something else Aaron has said as well. Week before last I had a hospital visit ... all very interesting. It will do! Anyway when I went to pick Aaron up from school his teacher said to me "are you okay?" yes, why? "Oh well Aaron has been telling me that you were going to hospital today to get fixed up!!" LOL Honestly the things he comes out with!
.
Thanks for visiting & a happy week to you all!

ABC ... (Aaron, Baby & Cookies) ;-)

Tonight I had a Dr's appointment to check how baby #3 is getting on (or mysterious family member #3 as a friend called him/her! hehee). We all went and I had told Aaron that the Dr would put gel on my tummy and then use a special machine so we could see the baby on a computer screen. Was amusing to hear him telling Maddison in the car on the way there "that we are going to see Mummy's Dr and see all the babies and the Dr will look at Mummy's tummy" heheheee Well he only saw the one baby! and was most interested in hearing the heart beat. The best bit though was when he asked the Dr "is the baby popping out now?" LOL
.
Maddison was a bit of a pest she had to be right up on the bed beside me and kept putting her hand on my tummy and smearing the gel all over the place! But aside from that all was good. I'm 21 weeks today (although head circumference measurement is 22 weeks!!!) Nice! The Dr told me on the way out that she'd see me in four weeks and the baby would have more than doubled in size by then! :0

Oh and yesterday ... I finally managed to get those cookies made :) hehehee ummm only a couple left now though (there were 3 trays full, I gave away 2 and a bit of them (trays I mean) and the kids and I have eaten the rest) :) :) :) I think blackcurrent jam goes really nice with these actually as it doesn't make them so sweet.

Here's the recipe ... make sure you have plenty of cornflour before you start!!! (I learnt from experience!)

Jam Drops
300 gms butter
10 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
2 1/2 cups flour
12 tablespoons cornflour
Jam

Melt butter and stir in sugar & vanilla essence.
Sift in flour & cornflour. Mix well until well combined.
If the mixture isn't combining well then I add a little bit of milk while the beater is going around ;-)
Roll heaped teaspoons of mixture into balls and place onto greased oven tray. Make an indentation in the centre of each cookie and spoon a little jam in the centre.
Bake at 160 degs C for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.

I generally get around 4 dozen cookies ... depending on the size of the balls. I make them a bit smaller for the kids ;-) (and that way I tell myself I can justify eating 2 or 3 at once hehee).

1st Post for 2010

And it's already the 5th!! A week has nearly gone of the new year already!
.
Okay - this post has a few photos (yeah I know what a surprise! hehee), but it's a catch up from the 31st.
.
We went to a friends for a pot luck dinner (have to remember not to say 'tea' cause over here tea is morning or afternoon tea!). After the meal we were entertained by some lovely music and Maddison doing her best to get right in there!

She didn't last long at the keyboard though ... she spied these flowers and decided she'd be a much better conductor LOL

We did see the New Year in, but wasn't intentional! Just a late night with friends :-) Kids were absolutely knackered the next day.
.
On Sunday Aaron and Maddison were telling Daddy their thoughts on what the new baby would be and it's name. Aaron still says it's a girl, but just goes all goofy when we ask what he thinks we should name it!

Maddison just winks!
Then Aaron does his pop-eyed expression (please excuse all the food in his mouth!!).
They have been cute actually because both have been "talking" to my tummy ... Maddison it's just very loud squeals (I hope the sound is muffled for the baby!) and Aaron giggles and goes "hello baby", gives my tummy a poke and dashes off! On Thursday night I have my next appointment with the specialist so we are all going to go. Can't wait to see the kids faces when they see the baby on the scan monitor and hear it's heart beat.
.
Yesterday Lyndon was back at work and the kids and I spent some time in the playground during the afternoon. They did the running about ... I did the watching and taking the occasional photo!
They spent ages picking up stones from the fountain & throwing them back. Love Maddison's throw! (hardly went any distance lol)
But you would have thought it went miles with her expression!
One of the employees here came to feed the fish so the kids had a turn too ... Aaron even had to taste it himself!
Then seemed it was necessary to splash the water vigorously to spread the fish food about!!
Monkeying about on the playground ...
And trying to copy older brother!!
This morning I found them at the keyboard ... Aaron was playing and Maddison singing (with her dummy in!) LOL

Not sure just how they could sing to the beat Aaron had chosen at an extremely fast speed! He informed me they were singing the 2nd one in the book (even though they were at page 300 plus!) ;-) Whatever it was the beat didn't go with it :-)
.
Now I am off to catch up on some laundry and I feel like doing some baking :-) I'm over the morning sickness (thankgoodness). So doing the dishes isn't quite so painful anymore! lol Still have a bit of nausea first thing in the morning, but it goes as soon as I start eating! :-) Unfortunately I haven't got any motivation back for scrapping! Not fair really. Kids are back at school tomorrow though, so might get some time to muck about pretending to scrap then! ;-)
.
Thanks for visiting & our best wishes to you all for the new year. Hope it's a good one for you.
