Yes it was time for Samuel to have another haircut! :-) I would hate for him to crash just because his hair was in his eyes hehee

Saturday Antics
We've had a lovely day today.
.
This morning I saw this ... Daddy & Aaron are training up Samuel to be a computer geek already!!!
.
Lyndon, Aaron & Maddison also went swimming in the afternoon. I watched through the camera lens :-) And Samuel kicked his heels in the pram. I did get his feet a little wet in the pool, but he didn't think much of it. I need to get him some swim nappies so he can really enjoy it :-)
.
There was a bit of water play.
Fountain spraying.
Samuel relaxing :-)
Races ...
Aaron has a fair bit of his fathers side of the family in him I think! ... Maddison was winning, so he grabbed her leg and pulled himself close, grabbed her tube and spun her around so he was in front!! heheee
More water play.

"Do it again!" :-)
Aaron's turn ... he's holding his nose here, but he soon lets go hehee

Ahh quick - grab the nose again hehee
Aaron also did lots of running & jumping into the pool :-)

So much fun (and so many photos hehee ... wonder when I will actually get to scrap these ones! I am soooooo far behind!).

Another cat one - this time I coloured the cat brown instead of black & grey.
Paper scraps :-)
In other news ... the washing machine went on the blink this afternoon - twice it tripped the earth leakage breaker and our power went out! I had a load of very WET towels in there! So pleased we have a laundrette in our condo, so I lugged the soggy towels and the rest of the laundry down to the laundrette and filled up both washing machines! It's a bit of a nuisance not having a washing machine in our apartment, but at least I don't have to get in the car and sit at a laundrette somewhere waiting for my laundry to wash & dry. Here I can set it going and then go back in half an hour when it's done. Hopefully I can get our one fixed this coming week.
Both the kids love Lyndon tossing them up in the air and splashing down into the pool. Maddison's facial expressions just cracked me up :-) (I'll let the photos do the talking!)
.
Thanks for the lovely comments about my cards a couple of posts back. Here's some more that I have made yesterday and today. I have coloured the images with water colour pencils. Patterned papers are all from my scrap box! Some of them are VERY old! And some very old stamps have had an inking as well! :-)
.
I also made a cake tonight ... my favourite :-) (recipe here)
.
Thanks for visiting ... I will be back tomorrow night with more photos to share :-) :-)

Transformers
A while ago Aaron got a truck/transformer with a happy meal (from McDonalds I think). Anyway last night Lyndon asked him what the name of the transformer was and Aaron just said it was "Transformer". heheee So Lyndon told him it was an "Optimus Prime Transformer"! Aaron just gave him a funny look hehehe, so Lyndon did a google search and showed Aaron a video clip ... sigh ...
.
Here they are ...
.
I am procrastinating ... we have more visitors coming tonight and I have dishes to do, laundry to sort, guest room to finish tidying and need to think about what to cook for dinner! Should really do some baking as well! Better get on with it I suppose!!

Thrills & Spills for Thursday!
We've had a fun day today :-) We talked to Grandma and her sisters and my sisters boys on skype with the video link and they couldn't understand one word Aaron was telling them LOL. Aaron has been telling me tonight that "Mitchell is really sick and had to go to the doctor. He really needs to have a big sleep". ROFL Dr Aaron at your service!! What cracks me up is he gives out remedies that is exactly what he needs himself, but he never seems to take his own advice! snigger snigger
.
After our phone call Maddison went to bed and Aaron surfed the Bob the Builder website (calls for some SERIOUS concentration and you must have the right hat on!)
While he was doing that I did some baking. Not that impressed though ... they were crunchy chocolate oat cookies, but they just aren't the same without the New Zealand condensed milk! The sweetened creamer here is quite runny and sugary, so they didn't look that flash once they were cooked. I used white chocolate too, hummm, decided I don't like the cooking chocolate here either (too fussy you say ... yeah probably!) Might try them again with some Cadbury's chocolate in it and see what that's like :-)
After lunch we went to Aaron's little school friends house to play. The kids had a great time. Maddison discovered the kids kitchen and the garden tap!!! So she was soaked in a very short time ;-)
Then they did some drawing ...

And Aaron cleaned the blackboard (note the tongue is on just the right angle LOL).
Oh and I must tell you this because it so cracked us up ... Yara got dressed up in some dress up clothes (see above photos) and when Aaron saw her he came running into the lounge telling us "Look Mummy there's a monster!" Oh my ... I think I need to have a little chat to him that it's not really the thing to do at all to call girl friends (and in particular little princesses) monsters! He's got a lot to learn :-}

Lyndon's back from Singapore later tonight - he's been there for a couple of days.
.
Wonder if he's bought himself a birthday present ...
.
Speaking of presents it's our 14th wedding anniversary next week and this year's traditional and modern gifts are worse than last year (they were; traditional - lace, and modern - textiles or furs!)! 14 years is ... traditional - ivory and modern - gold jewelry! That's really handy isn't it! I don't wear jewelry (nether does he) ... maybe I can source an elephant tusk from somewhere LOL I think I'll flag those gift ideas ... save it up for next year ... the modern gift for 15 years of marriage is right up Lyndon's alley ... Watches! :-) :-)

Weekend Update
I'll start with Friday night! Lyndon came home earlyish so he could take Aaron back to the Dr for his ears! STILL no luck. So more $$$$ and more ear drops and another appointment on Tuesday. Poor Aaron ... he does not like the noise of the vacuum and immediately covers his ears. Not sure what we will do if we don't have any result tomorrow. We have been very diligent this time with the drops, so if it doesn't work then I will be questioning the drops!
Saturday was National Scrapbook Day so I tried to squeeze in as much scrapping as I could :-) After lunch Lyndon went to a big computer store to buy a portable hard drive for all our photos to see if that would help the speed of our computer! And you won't believe this ... but he came home with a Ferrari! True ... said it was for me! (No it's not a toy from the Shell garage! - I'll take photos later and post them.) So I am quite the flash chick now! He did get a hard drive for the photos too!
He spent quite a few hours messing about with the computer doing virus checks and downloading photos to the hard drive. Then after the kids were in bed he ended up taking the computer to the shop he got the hard drive from to get it checked. Phoned to tell me it had 83 infections!! (Sounds like it's been playing with Aaron!!)
Think it's going slightly better now :-)
Sunday was just the usual. We got tea again from the wet market and this time Lyndon got something different ... can't remember it's name - it's like a big thick piklet that had butter or margarine, nuts and tinned corn in it! It was okay, but don't think I would be buying one to eat again. It was sort of weird to be eating like peanut butter on a piklet with corn! Didn't seem right somehow. Lyndon quite liked it of course!!
Today ... Lyndon's back at work, kids are in bed and I am catching up on washing, blogging and I really must respond to some emails. I have been very slack! Aaron's going to school this afternoon too :-) Looking forward to that! hee hee
