May Photo A Day pics

I know I still have a blog ... been very slack at updating it sorry.  Doing a bit of a catch-up now.  Here's my pics from May photo a day.  Again I used the prompts from the FMS blog for this month most days.  

Day 1 - I bought this.  Maddison bought this My Little Pony with money from her money box and had great fun colouring it and adding the stickers :-)

Day 2 - Morning Ritual.  I actually read this as morning routine so took a self timer pic of me making sandwiches for the kids lunches.

Day 3 - This is Really Good!  Aaron & Maddison's school concert today.  Was quite neat to see their performances.

2nd pic of the day :-)  Maddison's class at the top (she's on the far left).  Aaron's class on the bottom, he's 2nd from the left.

Day 4 - In My Cup.  Well that would be ice peach tea in my bottle of course :-)

Maddison went to a school friends birthday party this day as well.  

And I couldn't resist taking a photo of the sunset reflected in the clouds in the east that night.

Day 5 - Malaysian General Election 2013, so took a photo of some of the MANY party flags around the city.

Day 6 - Broken.  Finally got a replacement cover for my ironing board!  Long over due.

Day 7 - Something beginning with F ... fragrant frangipani flower.

Day 8 - Shape.   Took a pic of this painted wall as we were driving past.  Looks quite effective ... much more exciting that boring grey concrete colour!

Day 9 - school field trip with Aaron's G2 class to Kidzania. I looked after these 3 young men.

A very noisy, messy end to the day!  Maddison cut her finger on a metal tape measure.  She got 3 stitches in her right middle finger. Good job she's left handed! The Dr said the tendons were okay thankfully, (and it's healed really good).

Day 11 - A Smile ... Samuel with the icing beater.  I was making his birthday cake.

We celebrated his birthday 2 days early as Lyndon was away for work on the actual day.  I made him a dinosaur cake with a little volcano on it :-)

Day 12 - Mother.  Mothers Day with my 3 little cherubs!

Day 13 - Maddison's teacher organised a mothers day morning tea.  The kids had all made their Mum's a very cool mothers day book.  It's a real keepsake :-)

 Day 13- The prompt today was Sunrise/Sunset.  I actually remembered to get both today!

Day 14 - I missed taking a photo for Day 14 photo but Lyndon sent me this drawing he did in a text message so that's going in my PL album too :-)

Day 15 - Aaron started Kumon.

Day 16 - much needed tidy up of my craft area ... still a lot to do, but I can see my desk better now!

Day 17 - sports day for both Samuel and Aaron.  Samuel didn't participate in his at all!  Aaron did well in his duathlon and came in third in his heat.

Day 18 - using prompt "mailbox" from day 16.

Day 21 - Had to get a pic of Samuel swimming with his lion and tiger while waiting for his swim instructor to arrive.

Day 22 - Homework time.

Day 23 - both Aaron and Maddison had a playdate today, so Samuel and I had some special time together :-)  Yummy frozen yoghurt.

Day 24 - Painting a picture of Daddy to hang on the wall.  Maddison drew him wearing "gloobes" (gloves!) hehehe

Day 25 - Skateboard ramp at our condo has started to be pulled down.  The safety measures are non-existent.  There was lots of exposed cut metal which was really dangerous.

Day 26 - Beautiful sunrise at 7.15am.

Still Day 26 - first time I have ever seen a full rainbow in Malaysia.  Kids were excited about seeing one too.

 Day 27 - Someone drove their Ferrari into Tom's tank!!

Day 28 - Aaron finished his Diorama on the Horned Lizard.

Day 29 - Transportation Project with Maddison's class.  She made the rocket at home with Daddy, and her and I made the "cruise liner" in class :-)   

Day 30 - Maddison's school field day (pre kindy and kindy classes)

Day 31- Aaron's school field day (grades 1 and 2)

Will try and get back with some other updates in the next couple of days.

Photo Catch up

Here's a few photos from the last few days.

Aaron opened up presents from Uncles, Aunties and cousins on Saturday morning. His face says it all! One very happy, spoilt little boy!

These were little packets of lego men :-)

Lots of this happening over the weekend ...
I always check the kids before I go to bed and Saturday night ... look how Maddison was sleeping! Silly little chook.
Sunday brought the arrival of MORE presents.
We also went out for lunch on Sunday with friends and I took the camera and didn't take one photo :-(

On Monday morning we were down in the lobby waiting for Aaron's school bus and I saw the teachers arriving to the Montessori school Maddison goes to wearing traditional costumes! "Oh bother" I thought to myself! I knew I had to get an outfit for Maddison and had been looking, but hadn't found anything I liked and I didn't realise it was quite so soon! Whoops!

After we waved Aaron off on the bus we scampered back upstairs and I got Maddison to try on the little Indian outfit she wore last year (you can see those pics here ... man she's got taller - you can tell by the door handle!). The top of the dress was a little bit of a squeeze and it was a bit shorter, but she didn't seem uncomfortable with it! The best thing though was she wanted to wear all the outfit this time! :-) She spent quite some time in front of the mirror admiring herself and flapping her scarf and skirt about! hehee

Today has been a public holiday I haven't got a lot done! These two have been very busy playing all sorts of games ... at one stage Aaron was "having" a penguin baby (it was up under his shirt) and the next minute he'd given it to Maddison to feed. What made me laugh the most was he gave her the penguin and promptly lounged back on the couch with a book and she perched up beside him "breastfeeding" the penguin!!! hehehee (one very good reason why you don't wear dresses when you are breastfeeding LOL)!

(Ahh no he can't read those books yet! He's just pretending to be like his Daddy!) ;-)

The last week I have been busy scrapping and this afternoon I happened to look at Becky Higgins blog and she issued a photo challenge. So I thought I would take a photo from the couch in our computer/craft room.

Spill off from my desk to the couch! I seriously need to have a good tidy up! My craft desk isn't very big to start with, but I have been piling stuff up on one side and now all the working space that's left is a 12x12 size! That's a job for tomorrow I think.

Yeah ... I got my stamps out and got inky! What fun :-) I scrapped a couple of pages from our holiday last year, one from 2004, one of my pregnancy with Samuel, and one of Christmas 2008.

Other news ... washing machine still not fixed :-( I will be phoning the repair man first thing in the morning. He was supposed to email me through a quote last Thursday! Huh! Just useless. Doesn't help that Friday was a public holiday for their company and also today! But the rate things are going at the moment I'll be lucky to have a working washing machine by mid September!

My Scrapping 'To Do List'

I have been unpacking my craft cases that I had (and added to!) in New Zealand and have managed to put them all away where they belong. I have a couple of drawers that need a major sort ... that can wait for another day hehehe ... and I need to sort out my patterned paper before I put the new stuff away. But other than that my space is looking relatively tidy for me :-)

.

While I was away I got my photos printed of our holiday as we went along. My Mum is a VIP member at Harvey Normans Print Centre and one Saturday I was home they had a special from 7am to 9am for 9 cents a print ... ummmm I am not going to tell you how many I got printed that day, but I basically spent 1 and a half hours loading up the photos I wanted printed hehehee

.

So now I have this exciting pile of photos to scrap just of the last three months!!!!!!!! It's an album on it's own me thinks!! LOL

But ... before I start playing with them I HAVE to finish these unfinished projects ... 2 canvas's from Donna Downey's class I did at Creative Escape in Singapore (back in April! (you can read about it here) ) and 9 mini albums (and one of the albums is of Creative Escape!!). The mini albums are in various stages ... some just need photos added, others just journalling, some need a lot of work (like my Dec Jan Daily Album that I still haven't finished!!).

Wonder if I should put a deadline on it ... Nah ... that would be too stressful! As long as they are done before next Christmas I will be more than happy. ;-)

There are some challenges and swaps though that I want to participate in now that my DT term with Scrap-n-Crop's kit club has finished, so I am allowed to do a few 'new' things :-)

.

Right ... off to do some sorting and decide which project to finish first :-) (maybe the little cousins album - I just need to add a photo of Baby D and do some journalling hehehee).

Friday

Yesterday morning was spent doing ...

A bit of hiding and "resting" (not) under the pillows on our bed.

Sorting out my button collection :-) Woo Hoo ... Ikea got a new shipment of these spice jars in, so I got 20 and there's 3 empty ones, but as of last night there's only 1 empty :-) I am sure I can find something to fill it soon heheee.

And of course I couldn't sort my buttons without having little "helpers"!

Did I say helpers? More like a big mixture going on there!

And in the afternoon Maddison found yet another use for my cuttlebug!! Good job it's pretty sturdy is all I can say!

Lyndon got back last night, this morning we've been swimming and I'm about to put Maddison to bed then after lunch we plan to go and buy her a big girls bed :-) Should be interesting! Watch this space :-)
