Darkroom Door ATC Swap

Just before Christmas I received the swaps for Darkroom Door's November Seaside Collection ATC Swap that I participated in.

Aren't they cool. Love how that even though we have used the same stamps or photo chips they all look so different. (The left hand ATC holder has two of my cards in it! ;-) )

I made two sets which I have already shown - this one using the alcohol ink splatter technique/

Guest Artist at Darkroom Door

Earlier this week the LO's, cards and ATC's I created for my guest artist spot at Darkroom Door were featured on their blog. (You can see the posts here, here and here and also a bit of info on what products I used.)

I made a few cards and ATC's and also did 12 LO's. :-) I really hope I can keep on this roll of using stamps on my LO's now, because it's a great way to embellish without bulk I must say! ;-)

This one - 3 days old - is not my usual! But I had these Websters papers in my stash and finally just got brave and cut, cut, cut! I stamped images onto Vellum and I love the look. It didn't end up on Darkroom Doors blog - I think because the stamps weren't so obvious - there's 6 stamps, can you see them?

Love the robots eyes on this LO - just matches perfect with Aaron's eyes!! ;-)

This'n That

I've been busy scrapping & crafting but I can't show you anything yet sorry. A couple of LO's I've done for our holiday album and there's too many people in them to blur! So far our holiday albums (2 and I sure hope they will all fit ... I am having my doubts!) have 81 LO's in them!!! I still have another month and a bit to scrap!

I've been playing with my goodies from Darkroom Door :-) :-) :-) And I see she's just released some more new background and photo stamps! There is one in amongst that new lot that I really must have! ;-) (Can you guess Mum??) ;-)

Maddison is better ... she went to school yesterday and was super excited to be back (and I was super excited to leave her there hehee)! She's got the rest of the week off (Deepavali celebrations). This morning she came with me to the playground so I could photograph the ATC's I've made for the Darkroom Door November ATC Swap.

Here's a sneak! Really pleased how they turned out and I have very inky fingers to show for it!! :-)
I mentioned that Samuel cut his first tooth on Saturday night ... well he cut his second one on Sunday night!!!!!!!!! He's been a bit miserable with them, and the dribble! Oh my ... I think I need to get waterproof backed bibs! haha He had a Dr appointment on Tuesday to get his next lot of vaccinations and he's 8.5kgs at 5 1/2 months. The Dr told me he was the size of a 9 month old baby hehee :-) He asked me what I was feeding him ... ummm just breast milk! :-) Another couple of weeks and I'll start introducing him to solids ... he's watching us VERY closely whenever we are eating - his little eyes tracking back and forth as we put food in our mouths ... makes you feel kind of guilty! :-)

Lyndon is on his way back from Singapore tonight, although his plane has been delayed! But I think he's on his way now. Thrilled he's going to be home for a public holiday instead of away for work! Especially since I am going here tomorrow morning!! :-) Looking forward to that and no doubt I'll have some pics to post afterwards! Hopefully the kids will behave for him! Aaron has already told me what he wants to do with Daddy ... build another "world's biggest train track", read his new school library book, play computer games, and play with his Ben 10 playing cards! Sounds like Daddy is going to be busy doesn't it!

Right I am off to bed ... didn't get much sleep last night. Samuel decided he wanted to be awake from 11.30 till nearly 2am! YAWN ... my eyes felt like grit this morning.

ATC Swap

I participated in Darkroom Door's September "Anything Goes #2" ATC swap. I made a couple of sets ...

I completely missed out on October's swap, bother it! But I am definitely going to join in for the November one which is using the "Seaside Collection" :-)

A few photos

I can't believe I haven't blogged for a week and a half! So here's a photo catch up.

Friday 24th Maddison had a traditional dress up day and potluck lunch at her school. She wore her little Indian outfit again. I baked mini cheese muffins and cinnamon buns for her to take. One of the little boys Mum had made some really cool sandwiches like lollipops. Maddison is holding one up in this pic.

Sunday there was an absolutely gorgeous sunrise ... this doesn't show it off very well though. When I first saw it the sun was a big orange ball.
Today Aaron had an alternate dress day (something yellow) and a dance-a-thon at his school to raise money for a cancer charity. Unfortunately I couldn't go, but Lyndon and my Mum were able to :-) So I'll just share a couple of pics here ... don't think there was too much dancing done by our boy!! hahahaa

I haven't been doing much crafty stuff, but last week I did make these ATC's for the Darkroom Door "anything goes" ATC swap. I made two sets, using up some photo chips I had :-)


And a couple of extras for "postage" ;-)

So that's about it from this end of the woods. We are enjoying time with Grandma :-) She can't believe how Samuel has grown hehee. I must take a pic of his legs and find a new born pic for a comparison!! ;-)

ATC Swap

Last month I joined in the ATC Swap hosted by Rachel Grieg of Darkroom Door. September's swap was to use 'Essentials 3 Stamps'. I created two sets this time ...

"Mug Shot" - I put a piece of Shimmer Sheetz in behind the film strip so when you look at the ATC you see your reflection ;-)

'Moment in Time' - done using the crayon resist technique and Tim Holtz Distress Inks (love those inks).

Darkroom Door Wilderness ATC Swap

In August I participated in an ATC Swap hosted by Rachel Greig of Darkroom Door, we had to use items from the Darkroom Door Wilderness Collection.  I used stamps from this set ... Wilderness Vol 2, using the crayon resist technique.  Not sure exactly what sort of mood I was in when I created these to put "get lost" on them!!!!  heheee

ATC Swap

Last month I participated in an ATC (artist trading card) swap that was organised by Rachel Greig @ Darkroom Door. We could use any rubber stamps, Montage, Photochips, Filmstrips, and Wordstrips from the Viva La Flora Collection. I received my swap ATC's back late last week. They are very cool and I am thrilled with them. It's amazing how many different ideas can come from 2 stamp sets. Even the colours are different on all of them. Check them out ...
