Kids!

Serene, my lovely friend in Singapore, printed some tee-shirts for the kids (you can see the pictures clearer on her blog post about them here). I was all organised this morning, had Samuel dressed in his (it's a little big for him yet) and Lyndon got Aaron and Maddison dressed and when they finished breakfast I was going to take some photos of the 3 of them!
.
I tried, really I did!
.
When I went to pick Samuel up from his bouncer I discovered he had been VERY busy ...

hehehe - look at his eyes! They are like organ stops. He's probably thinking "for goodness sake put that camera away and get me out of this poop!" :-)
.
So the photo shoot got put on hold while he had another shower and a change of clothes! His lovely new singlet is now soaking in a bucket of "magic poop remover" and I have my fingers crossed that there won't be any stains!!!
.
Kids! If it's not one of them up to mischief it's another! hehehe
.
So when Samuel was in a clean singlet I got some pics of the three of them :-) (Aaron is still doing his goofy laugh & smile thing whenever he sees the camera pointed at him!)

You can see the shirts a little clearer here - Maddison is standing on tiptoes by the way! Aaron is still a bit taller than her hehee
And here's the little monkey himself! 8 weeks old today :-)

Still working on getting some nice smile pictures. When he's busy smiling and chatting to me, the camera isn't in reach. I need to get prepared!
.
Thanks for visiting.

Do they think this is their new school uniform?

I sure hope not!!!
.
Aaron is really into Ben 10 at the moment - it's driving me slightly crazy, but what's worse is that whatever he does Maddison has to do too. So he's "given" her his other Ben 10 tee-shirt and this morning they decided together that they would wear them to school! Honestly!
.
Aaron had his Ben 10 watch on and wanted Maddison to have one too ... some how I managed to avoid all the questions on that one. But no doubt I'll get them again! (I am NOT buying her a Ben 10 watch thank you very much!)

This pic makes me grin - Aaron gave her a hug and she just leans back (hard) and squashes him against the door and stands on his foot by the looks! hehehee

I think I can safety say she's a bit of a tom-boy! And a little scruffy one at that! hehee

Bits & Pieces from the last few days

This is a bitser of a post! Just some randomness (with photos ... of course!) from the last few days.
.
Friday I got some pics after school of Aaron & Maddison with Yara & Senna. I think Aaron was totally over photos by this stage! hehehee
(Yara if you are reading this Aaron says you can come back now!!) :-)

Maddison & Senna having their last hug :-) (Maddison nearly fell back into the garden!)
Last Friday when I was in Aaron's class I noticed the kids all had free hand drawings on the wall ... Aaron's was the only one that I had no idea what it was! So I asked him ... "It's a dump truck Mummy"!!! (Well what do you know ... looks more like the rubbish in the truck to me hehehee) I guess if you use your imagination ... nope still doesn't work for me!

Monday the kids had a holiday from school. So we spent some time in the playground (with them getting VERY wet!!!). Unfortunately whatever Aaron does Maddison has to do as well!! You see when you put your arms up on to the round bowl, the water runs straight down your arms and onto your tummy! Great fun!!!

Then in the afternoon the kids made some cards ... with some major help of my stamp collection and glitter glue (suppose that's one way to use up the glue!).

These next few photos of Maddison are in sequence - it's what she did for every card she made!
#1 - squeeze the bottle like mad
#2 - final details require serious concentration while pressing the glitter glue nib hard onto the cardstock!
#3 - Grin to ones self when finished!
#4 - then throw back head and laugh like crazy because it's just so incredibly exciting! ;-) heheee
I do hope the recipients appreciate the amount of glue that has gone into these creations! :-)

While they were doing that I tried to do some scrapbooking! Sort of worked if I didn't stress about the amount of glitter glue being wasted heheee.
.
I did some LO's for Kinda Sweet - the ladies had given me some papers last year and have been so patient waiting for something from me! So finally I have done 3 and have a couple more in mind to do. Here's a sneak ...

Today the kids were back at school so after I dropped them off I headed to a mall to find some more maternity clothes ... HOW DEPRESSING. Arrgh ... okay I have big hips & backside ... but really XXL should fit right? (When I was telling Lyndon he just said "yes dear"!! huh!) Anyway I did get a tee-shirt to wear ... had to show here because I laughed out loud in the shop when I saw it!
Snigger snigger! Yeah whatever ... there could be a little less of the largeness magic I'd say! ;-)
.
Want to record here something else Aaron has said as well. Week before last I had a hospital visit ... all very interesting. It will do! Anyway when I went to pick Aaron up from school his teacher said to me "are you okay?" yes, why? "Oh well Aaron has been telling me that you were going to hospital today to get fixed up!!" LOL Honestly the things he comes out with!
.
Thanks for visiting & a happy week to you all!

The camera has had an airing!

Just a quick catch up of this week so far!
.
Monday ... I actually made it clothes shopping while the kids were at school. If you know me or read my blog, I've mentioned before it's a chore to me. I hate clothes shopping. Shopping for maternity clothes is even worse I have discovered! Especially here! I wanted some tops and some skirts ... sounds easy huh! My only stipulation was that they had to last the remainder of my pregnancy (e.g. fit!) and the skirts were to be below my knees! Huh ... what a joke. The first shop I went to had 3 styles of skirts, all of which were about 30cm long ... I won't even try and imagine myself wearing such a thing, so don't you bother! (Hideous comes to mind!). The tops ... all were blouses really in the same style - lots of different colours and patterns with the only other difference being that some had buttons, some didn't, some had collars, some didn't, some had pockets, some didn't! Huh ... anyway I found 3 that would do. (Actually by that stage I was so brassed off that they didn't have longer skirts I just wanted to grab the first things that fitted!)
.
Second shop ... well there was more of a selection in the tops ... so I got a t-shirt. But the skirts ... much the same story. They did have a couple of longer ones, which the shop assistant insisted would fit me (big joke ... couldn't even get it up over my thighs let alone my hips!). I did buy one skirt - it's sort of calf length I suppose, but it definitely won't last till the end of the pregnancy!
.
My question is ... how on earth do other 'curvy', 'generously' built, 'lush' ladies manage?? Especially when they are pregnant? I mean seriously ... I know more than half the female population here don't have bottoms or hips to speak of ... but what about the ones that do?
.
Anyway I will try another shop I've seen and if I have no luck then I think my best bet is to go fabric shopping and get something made! So that was my shopping trip ... I had to console myself with a pretzel at Auntie Annies on the way home hehehe (that will help with the lushness LOL)!!
.
Yesterday the kids helped the maid clean the mirrors while I did my hair before going to school! I think the mirrors ended up dirtier than they were to start with actually LOL

And today ... I took the camera to school mainly to get some pics of Maddison at school doing her thing! I have in mind a double LO for her album like this one I did for Aaron.
.
Concentrating colouring in ... something she's actually very good at compared to other kids her age and she just loves. (I can't recommend Crayola Washable Crayons enough!!!!) :-)

Showing off her circles & star she's coloured in on the Christmas tree to a little friend.
This is her 'partner in crime' hehehee. Sorry you can't see Z's face but I haven't got permission from her parents ... but you can see the sneaky look on Maddison's face and Z had a very cheeky look hehee They get up to lots of mischief together!!!
On Wednesday's at school they have a gym session. Because I was there Maddison didn't want to participate in anything until the climbing activity! (Apparently it's her favourite!)
"Look at me Mummy"
And jumping ... now I know why both the kids love jumping on our bed!!

Teacher lining them up to talk back to class.
Listening very intently to music and watching the flash cards the teacher was holding up.
Music was forgotten when she saw this activity toy ... so when she was busy with that I sneaked away :-)
And here's Aaron doing counters ... he had to put the numbers in order, then put the correct amount of little green counters beside each number.
Okay I am out of here. We have a train track to build! ;-)
Thanks for visiting.

At The Rate I'm Going ...

My Daily Album is becoming a weekly one! I am running behind on it, ahh well what's new. Will endeavour to do a bit of catch up tomorrow (hopefully!).
.
I'll do a little recap here and this will help me when I come to do these pages for my album :-)
.
Thursday morning was spent tidying up, making Mum's bed and putting kids toys away! Maddison had a sleep, we had lunch then went off to the airport with Irene to pick up Mum. Mum was due in around 3.30pm, so we got to KLIA (KL International Airport) about then and found a spot to wait where we could see the passengers arriving. An hour later Lyndon checked the arrival information board again, and Irene asked at the info counter and we discovered that all Air Asia flights land at the LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal). Right ... so you can imagine the mad dash we had to get back to the car and drive there (took about 15 minutes I suppose). Couldn't get any answer on Mum's cell phone, so assumed it wasn't working here. Lyndon dropped Irene & I off and we just looked at each other and then at the huge CROWDS of people and said "how on earth are we going to find her in all this mass of humanity?!". Anyway I asked an Aussie guy that was just coming out the arrivals door and he did some long muttering about waiting in LONG queues, but did confirm that he was on the same flight as Mum. So we decided she was obviously still in there! Suppose we only waited another ten minutes before she came out looking slightly frazzled! So that was our afternoon ... we were actually pleased we'd gone to the wrong terminal to wait for an hour ... there was air conditioning there heheee.
.
Friday ... tried on another little outfit Lyndon bought Maddison in India ... so cute. She liked the handbag best that matched the outfit! :-)

Lyndon worked on Friday and we went to town with Irene ... checked out several fabric shops, visited this really interesting button shop at the back of Chinatown. If you ever need a button, I'm sure you could find just the right one there! Floor to ceiling lined with little boxes fulled with buttons. Amazing!

Then after lunch and a few more fabric shops we went to PJ Hilton where they have this really neat display set up with five model trains. (Maddison was more interested in the Christmas tree!).
We weren't there very long ... Aaron decided he just had to get inside the fence, so we felt it best to leave (long story and it's not pretty. THE END).
This picture shows the five trains.
And this cracked me up ... check out the fat man lounging on the bench wiping his brow and the wife bringing him a plate of CAKE! Seriously ... what a hoot.

Saturday ... Mum and I left Lyndon and the kids at home and went to Scrap-n-Crop's Scrap Abode :-) Was so nice to shop and look without the kids tearing the place to bits hehee. The rest of the afternoon was just spent relaxing at home.
.
Today we've done our usual, got lunch from the local market and tea from the wet market on the way home.
.
Wonder what tomorrow will bring! Hopefully some time for me to do my Daily Album and actually get some pages complete so I can share them.

Woo Hoot Wednesday

I just can't believe Wednesday's come round so jolly quick! So ... Janine's Woo Hoot Wednesday. On my list is: -
.
2 more sleeps till Lyndon's home.
.
16 more sleeps till we leave for our holiday (those 16 sleeps are going to go real fast I think!!).
.
Maddison has added a new word to her vocab ... "carcar" which is cracker :-) So she says Muuuuuummmmmmmmm (I presume that's my name LOL), Dada, sh's (shoes), carcar (cracker), claps her hands when you say good girl. I think that's all.
.
Hearing Aaron singing a Barney song while sitting on the potty on Monday night. I was in Maddison's room feeding her and putting her to bed, so I couldn't grab the video camera, but it was so cute. This is what he sung (in his words!):
.
I wuf you, You wuf me
We a happy fambily
A big hug and kiss from you and me
Won't you say wuf me toooooooo
I wuf you, You wuf me
We best friends like friends be
With big hug and kiss from you and me
Won't you say wuf me toooooo
.
:-) Cute huh ? I had a wee tear in my eye actually. He didn't get all the words, but it's pretty much all there. And what made it extra special was he sang it loud and clear (obviously his dummy wasn't in his mouth!) LOL
.
Tonight when Maddison gave him a hug goodnight he put his arm around her and said in a wee whisper "I love you Maddison". And of course no camera anywhere in sight! :-( Might have to have it ready next time.
.
I finished a mini album of our trip to the butterfly park and altered a Maya Road chipboard tin to put it in.
.
Completed a LO for Kinda Sweet which I will blog about later this week or next. :-)
.
Aaron sort of co-operated today while we went through his clothes to see what he can wear when we are back in NZ. It won't be winter there, but will still be colder than here. You can tell he's so happy to have long trousers on and a jacket! LOL Had to have the aircon on so he didn't sweat :-) Anyway he was really quite good in the fact that I managed to get him to try on 6 pairs of trousers a couple of shirts, a vest, couple of jackets and a suit :-) Looks so happy doesn't he!!! hehehehee
This little suit is so cute. Lyndon bought it earlier in the year when he went to India. It's corduroy! Not what one would wear here, but anyway it fits him so he can wear it now and again when we are back in NZ for 3 weeks :-) I need to get the trousers taken up, but otherwise it fits fine.
And Little Miss had to try the tie on :-) NICE, especially matches the Bob the Builder hat she has in her hand LOL
Went grocery shopping this morning at the local supermarket and found this neat tin of "carcar's" :-) I love fancy decorated tins, so another one to add to my collection :-) I like shopping at the local supermarket too, because I can walk there, bring back frozen and breakable goods and the rest get delivered free of charge later in the day :-)

Enjoyed watching Maddison play this afternoon in my plastics cupboard! She loves hats! Check out her beautiful dummy clip. LOL She's a little pest chucking it away then screaming because she can't find it, so this way at least it has something bright and long on it that can be seen if it's under the couch!

This isn't part of my woo hoot list ... but the day ended like this! Aaron had been sitting on the potty in front of his bookcase reading books (nightly ritual!) and I was doing the dishes. After a bit he scampered out and grinned at me! I was very cross!! His face was WHITE! Yep, he'd been into the talcum powder! I grabbed the camera to get a pic of him, but he dived into his bed and wiped it all off on the sheets! Like the trail of footprints out the door?!!

Here's my album & tin. It's pretty simple, but it's done :-) (2 more mini albums to go before I go on holiday!!)

Maddison checking out the tin! Don't tell me she's going to be into handbags as well as hats and shoes! :-)
.
I haven't added much journalling to the album as it's pretty self explanatory. Tried to use gold pen, but it didn't show up very well, so used black. Need to get a fine black pen I think! Also see I have missed some bling of a couple of small butterflies so will have to go and do that. :-) Oh and I want to alcohol ink the silver ring for the album. It doesn't look good silver!
.
So that's our day done and dusted. And I think I will head to bed for an early night (well early for me!). Got a better sleep last night, Maddison did wake a couple of times, but settled again which was nice :-)
