Get Picky Sketch #9

Get Picky's sketch this month had room for 5 photos ... but I squeezed in 6! :-) Here's the sketch.

And here's my take.

I used a couple of Ali Edwards stamps from her Road Trip set for my title. Saved me thinking too hard hehehe I coloured them with Twinkling H20's.
.
And another LO done for our 2009 holiday album! I do hope I have this holiday all scrapped before the end of the year! It's taking me forever!

Get Picky Sketch #8

Get Picky's sketch this month is for 3 photos. I went through my stack of holiday photos looking for a group of 3 and ended up with 2 lots. So decided I would do 2 LO's. :-)
.
Here's the sketch.

Because my photos were already 6x4 I just trimmed them to 4x4 so to make them work I tilted the sketch and put the grouping of 2 photos differently. Really simple LO using Tim's tissue tape, journalling tag and tickets and some very old Maya Road felt buttons I found. (Don't even ask how long I have had them!)

For this next LO I kept the sketch the right way up, except for the grouping of 2 photos again (photos are 4x4). This LO goes alongside the LO in yesterday's post, so I just used paper scraps that co-ordinated with that, little doilies & alphas from Studio Calico's March kit, used up some bling and christened some new stamps :-)

Double LO

In March Get Picky had a great double LO sketch. I didn't get a chance to do it before we went on holiday, but printed it out because I knew I could use it for some of my many holiday pics!

I altered it a bit to stretch it to a 12x12 LO and used bits and pieces from the March Studio Calico kits again (including the stamp).

Left page
Right page
I used a dab of liquid pearls in the centres of the flowers. Ink I used on the stamp is Wild Honey Distress Ink. I have given up on the sewing machine for now so just drew a dotted line around the perimeter of the pages hehee

Pretty simple, but I am keen to get those holiday photos scrapped as quick as possible, so I can start printing the next lot!! hehee ;-)

Get Picky Sketch #7

I have missed out on doing the last couple of sketches at Get Picky, so was pleased to be able to play along this time. You can see the sketch here. I turned it on it's side so it worked with my photos.

I used everything (except thread and ink from my stash) from Studio Calico's Main kit from March "Into the Woods" and the little alpha stickers are from the March "Babbling Brook" Add-on kit.
.
And some more photos scrapped from our 2009 holiday! hahaa

Get Picky Sketch #5

I had a go at the sketch at Get Picky this month.

I flipped it and because my photos were already printed at 6x4 I just trimmed them down a bit.

The patterned papers are really old and have been in my stash forever! Nice to finally use them. I used the piece with text mainly because it was sort of like a newsprint and it fitted in with the photos. Also some of Tim's stuff there - clocks, gears and tissue tape. :-)
.
More pics from our 2009 NZ holiday!

Get Picky Sketch #4

This months sketch at Get Picky is a double LO. :-)

You know I like doing double's so I decided I would use all these little pics I had printed when I had my hair styled for our "day out" when I was back home in August 2009 (see this post if you can't remember hehee).
.
Dug in my paper stash and found these two papers the same (Daisy D's Paper Company). I thought they would work with the vintage theme of the day and they kinda followed the sketch ;-) (Nice to finally use these papers, I am sure I've had them for more than 5 years!)

The Amboline hair add was cut out of another piece of 12x12 paper and some more Scenic Route chipboards :-)
I wrote my journaling on a tag which I inked with vintage photo distress ink, attached a Tim Holtz Story ticket with one of his paper clips and tucked it in behind the photos.

Get Picky Sketch #2

Here's my entry for Get Picky's Sketch #2. Great sketch - once I had FINALLY chosen what papers to use (that took ages) I had the LO put together in a matter of minutes :-)

I used a mix of older Sassafras papers, and of course some of my Martha Stewart butterfly punches ;-) I've inked the edges of all the papers and butterflies with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. Photos are from last years holiday (of course!). AND I am going to add a disclaimer to the title ... they are only adorable some of the time hehee

Get Picky Sketch #1

Here's my take for Get Picky's first Sketch Challenge. I've used Basic Grey Porcelain papers that have been in my stash for a while! (Actually the bigger pieces came in a kit from one of the classes I did at Creative Escape last year! Smaller pieces from a 6x6 pad.) Alphas and fabric flower (bloomers) are from Websters. Used distress inks to define the edges of the papers. Decided I didn't need to journal - title and photos say it all! :-)

More holiday photos :-) and that little ladybug ... it's from Basic Grey as well - got that when I was home last year. Perfect for Maddison's ladybug cake :-)
.
Love the sketch ... think I will use it again. Anyone else that reads my blog doing this challenge?
