Maddison was ready to go to school this morning at 7.50am! She was rather cross with me that I wouldn't take her then! heheee I managed to hold her back till 8.20am. They had a dress up day today wearing something red & green. So as she is still managing to fit her little Indian outfit that's what she wore! :-)
She did all the pink decorating on the cards and envelopes! ;-)
Really simply decorated - Prima flowers & leaves with a bling brad. And I was silly and forgot to take a pic of them before I wrapped them (duh!) so had to take them after the teachers had opened them.
Maddison got given a Santa hat, but didn't want to wear it, so the teacher popped it onto Samuel's head instead :-)
Maddison giving Samuel a wee foot massage :-)
Trying out the teachers antlers!
Yesterday I read on Nichol Magouirk's blog about a Christmas Countdown idea (she coincidentally got the idea from Rebecca Cooper's blog here). Anyway I really liked the idea (especially since it didn't involve sugar!) so I decided to do it too. You individually wrap 24 books and each night a child choses a book to read. :-)

Now we don't have many books on Christmas ... in fact when I went through the kids bookshelves the only one I found was how the Grinch stole Christmas. But I did have 2 Christmas books I bought on sale during the year put away for presents for Aaron & Maddison, so I have added them into the pile. The rest of the books are ones from their bookcase that we haven't read in a while. I liked the fact I didn't have to spend heaps of money (and Lyndon will like that too heheee), just wrapping paper and tape. The brown paper is a roll I have had in my stash for years and it's kinda see through so that's why I haven't used it before. But I decided it would be okay for the books! :-) I haven't wrapped 24 either because (a) tonight will be the first night we are doing it and (b) we are going on holiday before Christmas. So I have just done enough up until we go away. (I'm looking forward to adding books for next year when I find them in sales during the year.) :-)

This morning Samuel found the basket under the tree ...
Very tasty it was too :-)
I had to distract him with something else, but that didn't last long hehee
When Maddison finished school today I took Santa's helper with me to pick her up :-) I bought this hat for Aaron's first Christmas and when Maddison wore it last year the bell got pulled off!
So that's been our morning.

This afternoon I have another present or 3 to do! So that's what I am off to do.
.
Have a great weekend & thanks for visiting.

Such pretty frames :)
Samuel has got some fabulous hats/caps.. :)
wow..Maddison looks really pretty in her Bengali costume! And it's great that you scrapbook for the teachers. It makes a wonderful gift
And so that's what a book basket is all about. It's a great idea! I think I will adopt it over Chinese New Year, since we don't celebrate Christmas *grin*
YOu guys have a great Christmas this year then!
