Off On An Adventure

Just popping in to share the last LO I made with the February "Daydream Believer" main kit and "Pleasant Valley" add-on kit from Scrappin Studio.

The cardstock, punches, ink and mist are from my stash, but all the other pieces are from the kit. I have no papers left now ... just alphas, some embellishments and a few pieces of trim!

I used the little journalling stamp onto card scraps and cut them out.
The 'Funday' banner was cut from packaging :-)
Absolutely loved this months kits - thanks Jaime :-)

Thanks for visiting and happy scrapping.

Saturday

Aaron's class can earn "coins" for good behaviour, good work, being helpful etc. and once a month myself and another class Mum go and set up "shop" for the kids. We count their coins and they get to spend them on fun things like small toys, stickers, notebooks, pencils & erasers, etc. This week we had class shopping and Aaron spent some of his money on two little bouncy balls - one for him and one for Maddison. Now some of you know that Aaron just loves balls and as a consequence I have banned balls in the house! He has good intentions to just roll it, but can't seem help himself and they either get kicked or bounced and then there's some damage! So when he finished his shopping I asked for the balls and said I would keep them safe for him hehee :-) This morning we went down to the skateboard ramp and he and Maddison had such fun rolling them down the ramp.

Samuel had his own little ball to play with.

Maddison spent a while helping Samuel climb up the ramp and sliding back down. He thought he was so clever :-)

On the way back inside he ran ahead and I caught him up on the ledge of this feature pool about to lower his legs in!
We have been having some yummy fruit, mango's, guava and passion fruit (although I am waiting not so patiently for them to ripen!).

Hope your Saturday was a good one. Thanks for visiting.

Who's Joining in?

Scrappin Studio are running a monthly challenge - are you going to play along? There's a great prize up for grabs :-) You can find all the details of the challenge here. The challenge is to take inspiration from this pillow.

So here's my take! I was inspired by the felt circles with cross stitches on them. Except I turned the circles into ovals! ;-)

You still have time to join in ... till the 27th of February :-) Look forward to seeing some more entries.

Thanks for visiting.

4 LO's

Hi there - today I have four LO's to show that I have made from Scrappin Studio's Daydreamer Believer main kit and Pleasant Valley add-on kit.

'Baby Chicks' also uses a couple of journalling cards from the Stepping Stone add-on kit and part of the packaging from the Jellibean Soup chipboard alphas.

'Bike to the Beach' uses a badge from the Stepping Stone add-on kit.

For the 'Choc Bar Ice Cream' LO I painted the chipboard Thickers with lagoon paint and used a matching coloured Tombow Pen to draw around the edge of all the little frames cut out from the Sassafras paper. The little strip of blue paper with pink hearts is from the Stepping Stone add-on kit.

'Helping?' uses packaging from the Stamp, Dear Lizzy epoxy stickers and the Studio Calico packing card. Also a badge from the Stepping Stone add-on kit.
Can't believe how much the kids have grown in 2.5 years!!

The things used from my stash include, Martha Stewart border punch, paint, inks and thread.

I'll be back next week to show you one last LO I've made using up all the little scraps left over from these two kits.

Thanks for visiting and happy scrapping.

Tom's School Visit

This morning Samuel and I took Tom to Aaron's school for a visit. They are studying the life cycle of ponds at the moment and Aaron asked if he could take Tom to school. So we took him for half an hour ... I didn't want poor Tom to have heart failure which might have happened if he was there all day! hehee
.
He went back into his little portable tank and when he was travelling on the top of the pram he sat up on his rock and was watching where we were going. :-)

Aaron told his class mates a little about Tom (his talk involved lots of hand motions hehee)
Then he "supervised" and let all the kids touch Tom's shell. There was a lot of squealing! I don't think Tom liked it very much! Every time someone touched him a bit hard he would do a bit of a jump and his head would disappear ... hence the squealing!
I think Tom is happy to be back home in his big tank! :-)
