Mothers Day 2011

Happy Mothers Day to all you Mothers out there :-) Hope you had a lovely day.
.
I had a Mothers day ... can't say it was all "happy" though, but there were several good parts to the day so I suppose I better focus on those bits! ha
.
Lyndon took some pics of me and the kids just before we had lunch ... at least there was 1 good one of us all.
The rest of them Maddison had her eyes crossed! WHY does she do that? It's so annoying.
Then I got some pics of each of the kids with the gift they made me :-) Aaron decorated the bag and made me a heart pillow. He even did some of the stitching himself! He told me "it was really hard, but it was so easy that he did it!" (I was giggling away to myself when he was telling me that!)
Maddison gave me a beaded heart and a card.
Samuel gave my ear a pull and a snot trail! Whoopsie I didn't realise he needed his nose wiped!
Lyndon did some doodling on a scrap of card he must have found in my messy scrap space :-)
The kids wrote their names. :-) Love how Maddison writes hers hehee
Here's my gifts! VERY spoilt ... and no the bag Lyndon got me wasn't true to label (phew hehee)!
He was a Darling and got me a little camera - a Canon PowerShot S95. It's very nice! Fits in my handbag just great. I won't be giving up my DSLR though! :-) It replaces the little pink one I had which has something wrong with it - takes 2-3 photos and the battery goes flat! It's very frustrating!
.
Hope you have a great week ahead - and thanks for visiting.

Standing ...

Standing all the time! Samuel isn't really happy sitting anymore! He likes to be standing ... the fridge is a favourite place - especially when he can put magnets in his mouth! (That's an orange '0' he has in his mouth, no he doesn't have orange lips hehee)

I looked at him standing at the fridge this afternoon and thought he's too little to be standing there!

He can fit under the dining table and it's a great place to annoy one's big brother when they are taking AGES to eat their dinner! (very distracting for Aaron!)
You know how I like taking photos right!? Well this week I realised that I have taken over 10,000 photos since we got this new camera (that's over 10,000 photos in 2 years and 2 months!) Wow I take 5,000 pics a year! Thank goodness it's digital and I don't feel I have to scrap each and every one of them hehee I am having trouble though some days just picking one photo for our daily album! Some days it's easy to choose, but other days it's really hard. Does anyone else have that problem or is it just me? haha
.
I am feeling a bit better this afternoon, managed to eat some dinner, but I am still not 100% yet. Going to have an early night!
.
Thanks for visiting.

Early Christmas

We are off to Thailand at a very early hour tomorrow (I am yawning already thinking about it!) so today the kids opened their Christmas presents. :-) It kept them busy most of the day playing with their new stuff :-)
.
So as usual here's a few photos to share.
.
By the way ... Maddison doesn't look that flash in the photos - that's because that disgusting pond water she licked off her hands at the butterfly park (see this post) has given her some sort of bug which she hasn't managed to shake off yet. We're working on it! Hopefully by the morning her temperature would have returned to normal for a start!!
.
Aaron & Maddison loving the new hooded towels from Grandma & Grandad ... Samuel just looking on hehee

He had no idea what to do about "ripping the presents" (as Aaron calls it) but once they were opened everything seemed to go straight in his mouth.

Buzzy Bee
Wearing Santa's Helper hat ...
whoopsie ... he pulled it off, lost his balance and fell backward onto the other presents!

With an interlocking alphabet floor mat.

Studying presents from Nana & Grandad :-)

Presents from cousins.

Kids digital cameras from Grandad & Grandma! (thank goodness they are digital!!!).
Maddison is taking pictures of her eye!
I'm going to be off line for a while. So will do an update when we get back in the New Year.
.
Thanks for visiting and wishing you all a very Happy Christmas and a Wonderful New Year. :-)

Naughty or Nice?

Just plain naughty I think!
.
These photos are for you Penny. After I read your post yesterday I thought I'd share these pics. I bought some fabric when I was in NZ and my Mum kindly made me a skirt and there were bits left over so she made a little one for Maddison. I thought it would be nice to get a photo of us wearing our matching outfits! Yeah Right!!! Every time Maddison saw the camera she'd just throw a complete wobbly! You will have to excuse the photos because Aaron had the camera and he's still not quite got the hang of making sure the heads are in hehehee. The first pic is with my Canon 50D, but after about 5 pics of our feet I realised it was too heavy for him and he was having trouble looking through the view finder, so gave him my little camera instead.

Our heads made it in, but look at the quality! ewww ... no wonder I like the heavy camera best LOL
So there you go Penny at least your Miss 2 wasn't doing this! heheee The annoying part was she would sit on my knee nice and I'd even get a cuddle, then she'd see Aaron with the camera and that would be that!
.
I keep telling myself "this too shall pass!" (it will won't it?)

Christmas Day

Merry Christmas Everyone. Hope you've all had a wonderful day.
.
We have :-) Been thoroughly spoilt and enjoyed delicious food!! Just going to do a quick recap of the day with some pictures thrown in!
.
Late night last night ... busy wrapping the last of the presents and putting them under the tree. The kids were funny this morning ... took them quite a while to notice the presents where there ... but oh boys when they did there was trouble! They were only allowed to open 1 present before breakfast ... very hard to stop little fingers fingering and oh so carefully, accidentally on purpose, pulling wrapping off!!!

Aunty Irene came for breakfast ... which was at 8am. We had a yum breakie which I forgot to take a photo of! (silly me). Nice crusty bread, cream cheese, basil pesto, tomatoes, cereals, yoghurt, strawberries, mango, melon, hot chocolate and coffee (oh and cold water for me!) :-)
.
The present opening began pretty much as soon as the kids had finished breakfast and we'd cleared the table!! Here's Aaron with his first present and the expression was pretty much the same for all presents after that! lol Such excitement!!!

And Maddison was much the same!

And of course there was a bit of this ... Maddison trying to help (actually she was just trying to take the wrapping paper away to put in the rubbish bag but Aaron thought she was after his Thomas track!!).
Hugs for the dolly that Grandad & Nana gave her :-) (Thank you)
VERY DEEP CONCENTRATION going on here with Aaron's most bestest favouritest present ... a "laptop" from Grandad and Grandma!! It's a Hot Wheels game laptop ... it's already had about 3 time out sessions today!!! (I suspect it will have a lot more too!!)
And look what Father Christmas (or should I say Lyndon!) bought for me!!!!!!!!!! Am I spoilt or what. I am still in shock actually ... not sure what exactly I have done to deserve such a fantastic present, but whatever ... I am sure going to enjoy it! :-)
Here's Maddison checking out one of her presents wearing a new dress from Nana & Grandad and a hat from us.
We went out for lunch (back to that Chocolate place!!) hehehe. Very yum ... Here's the kids enjoying their shared chocolate drink again. (new camera in action here!)

And this was my dessert ... that chocolate sauce was just delicious :-)

So there you have it. We got home about 4ish. Irene left soon after that and we've just lazed around, had tea, bathed the kids, put them to bed, done the dishes and now I'm about to head to bed myself.
