Wednesday

The kids must have had an excellent nights sleep because they were sooooooo good this morning! They ate all their breakfast and played really nicely together AND best of all we were at school on time (before 9am even!!) heheee ;-) (All thanks to my darling hubby helping with their breakfast.)

They are studying transportation this term at school (last term it was dinosaurs). :-) So I got a lift the flap book on vehicles out for Maddison to take to school. Aaron is reading it to her here. I love listening to him read ... it makes me laugh. (He has a very good memory ... read a story to him 3-4 times and he can just about read it back to you! With a few variations of course, but the gist of the story is there! The variations make it much more interesting! hehee)

Lyndon gets his stitches out today sometime (6 of them). He took of the sticky strips yesterday and I think it looks a bit like a Frankenstein scar!! When I had a closer look I said to him "oh they did cut your hair". His comment was "no they plucked it ... well that's what it felt like because their scissors were so blunt!" LOL

Monday and Tuesday I got some scrapping done! 6 LO's actually ... including journaling. Most impressed with myself. I'm just going to show 4 here because I can't be bothered blurring out people & journaling on the other 2. They are all for our holiday album, which is looking decidedly fat! I am wondering if I am going to need an album for each of the 3 months we were away! (hehehee)

Queens Park LO I used some of the Chatterbox papers I won from Scrap-n-Crop's easter egg hunt. :-)

One day we spent a whole day down at my sisters place and as you can imagine we did a lot and I took tons of photos ... I think I will have 8 LO's just of that one day!!!!!!!!! I have already done one which I blogged the other day here, but have challenged myself to try and use up some of my Basic Grey Archaic papers for the rest of the LO's :-) (I have quite a few pieces of each paper hehee)
My brother-in-law made a comment about me when I was taking the kids for a ride on this little bike that "there is actually a bike under that!" hehehee ... all I can say is if I was on it now you would see even less of the bike and there wouldn't be room for the kids! LOL

I think this 'fossick' LO is my favorite out of the ones I have done the last couple of days. It so reminds me of my Mum and her eldest sister! :-)

Nasty

Lyndon got back from Singapore late last night ... he phoned me about 9.30pm to ask if the local Doctors was open. Ahhhh no it closes at 9pm, what's up?

Oh I just had a wee accident and cracked my head on the boot of the taxi! It's quite messy and I think it might need attention.

.

So I rang the hospital closest to us (which coincidentally is the one where I am going to be delivering bump #3) and they had an accident & emergency department. So he came home and got the taxi driver to wait while he dropped off his bags and exchanged a very sodden blood soaked pile of hankies and tissues for something clean and off he went.

.

I should have taken a photo of him before I had cleaned up all the blood that had run down his face and in his hair! But you can tell by his shirt that his face must have been pretty messy!

And here's a couple of before and after shots. Not sure how many stitches he got underneath all those butterfly strips. He was very pleased they didn't shave his head hehehee

Aaron was funny this morning. He went into the bedroom to see Lyndon and saw his stitches and came running back out to me and said "Mummy, Daddy has hurt his grey head!!" LOL

Lyndon is passing his trip off to the hospital as a trial run in case I go into labour early! Hahaaha

Meanwhile back in the craft jungle ... I have been playing with a few new toys! (I think these may be my early mothers day presents hehee) I bought some of Tim Holtz new alteration dies ... they are awesome. Really enjoying them. I've been using my cuttlebug and cut the covers and the ornamental shape out of heavy chipboard and the internal pages are just out of cardstock. I could cut 2-3 pieces of cardstock at a time no problems and cutting the chipboard was nearly like cutting butter! Sweet! :-)

So now I have a little mini album all ready to go. Just need to choose patterned paper and run that through with the die for the covers and then I can put it together and bind it with my zutter. :-)

3 down ... will the last man standing fall??

Yep ... Maddison kindly passed her vomiting bug onto me. Unfortunately I was sick a LOT more than 2-3 times. I spent most of Sunday night hanging out in the bathroom. Poor Lyndon got back from Finland on Sunday afternoon and after me keeping him awake much of Sunday night he was suffering from lack of sleep as well! Monday morning I wasn't much better so he very kindly cancelled his trip to Thailand to look after the kids. Which was just as well as I spent the day in bed ... couldn't keep anything down till evening. Discovered sucking ice cubes was the best as they stayed down the longest!

Lyndon took Aaron back to the Dr's yesterday as he had what looked liked bites all over his legs. But they got worse and spread - face, back, legs etc. Dr said they were hives and he thought it was an allergic reaction to the cough syrup he's been having. So got different meds & lotions for that. Then this morning not long after Aaron woke he did a massive vomit! He seems to be okay now ... hopefully it passes quickly with him like it did with Maddison.

Now ... will Lyndon get it!? He's supposed to be going to India tomorrow, but says he's not feeling so good! Whether it's just the smell of sick that's getting to him or not I don't know. (But I do know I would much rather be sick at home than some place in India!!!!)

I still have a cold, but my throat is much better. So things are looking up! hahahaa

.

Ya Know ...

(That's Aaron's latest phrase ... it gets used A LOT!) hehehee

Anyway 'ya know' I really did plan to update this blog more regularly! And here it's well over a week since I last posted! Life has gotten in the way ... both the kids have been sick so I've pretty much stayed at home with them since last Friday after taking them to the Dr's (boys that was a costly exercise!). Anyway Aaron is much better and he went back to school today. Still has a bit of a cough, but not much. Maddison still isn't 100% yet ... but hopefully by the weekend she will be over it.

So since we've stayed home and the kids have been coughing and snotting (which is snot nice I tell you) and I've been vomiting, it's been a really delightful week! :(

Lyndon has missed most of it as well lucky thing! He's had a pretty heavy travel schedule the last few weeks and still has about 3 weeks left ... so we'll be glad when that's over. In the last 3 weeks he's been to China, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand and has Indonesia, Japan, Philippines & Vietnam on his list. I have lost track of where he's supposed to be actually ;-) He's home for about 24 hours in the weekend before he's off again! Be good to spend some time with him over the Christmas break.

But in more exciting news ... we are on the countdown till Nana & Grandad arrive :-) :-) Less than four weeks. Aaron talks about it most days ... when are they coming?, are we going to the airport to pick up Nana & Grandad today?, we'll take them to see this and take them to see that heheheee He's so looking forward to them coming. So I hope Nana & Grandad that you will show the appropriate interest in all the toy shops (mainly Thomas ones) he's got lined up to show you LOL Somehow though I think once they are here he will be just too excited to bother too much about Thomas shops! :-) (well I am hoping anyway!)

Haven't even got any photos to show you ... that hasn't been on my mind and photos of snotty nose little rascals isn't very nice to look at! ;-)

The last few days I've been thinking about the differences between this pregnancy and the other two. Some say that each one is different ... well some parts are! Some are the same. For example, all three I have gone right off chocolate for the first three months (weird totally weird for me!). But not to fret I am getting my daily dose once again :-) The vomiting is the same, the nausea is the same. Different things can set the vomiting off ... this time round it's been the dishes! True ... every time I go to the sink to start the dishes I end up being sick. So some days the dishes pile up for a couple of days! Today though has been a relatively good afternoon and I didn't notice the nausea so was able to get 2 days worth of dishes done! (That's one thing I really really miss living here ... not having a dishwasher! You can get them, but I just don't have room in my kitchen. Next place we move ... it's going to be a priority!!) :-) I didn't notice the tiredness as much for the previous two as this one ... I've been going to bed around 8.30pm! (that's not like me hehee) And I still haven't been clothes shopping! Maybe tomorrow! See how I feel. It's getting desperate ... thought I would be able to wear some of the clothes that I was wearing when we first came here ... but ummmmm my 'bump' has expanded somewhat in the last week, so that idea's not going to work! Nothing else for it but to go shopping :(

So that's been us ... and I think I have rambled enough tonight, so I am out of here!

Pakistan

Thought I would share some photos Lyndon took when he was in Pakistan last week. He took lots more, but these ones appealed to me! :-)

This is the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, it was completed in 1673 and is capable of accommodating over 55,000 worshipers. Apparently when it was finished the Emperor (I think that's who it was, but could be wrong) had the hands cut of the stone masons who built it, so there wouldn't be another mosque like it!!! Nice way of saying thanks for building it isn't it!

Loved the way they painted their trucks over there. So bright and colourful ... wondered if this was the Pakistan way of scrapbooking (haha)

Wouldn't see this back in New Zealand!
This was in Karachi ... it's a new building and you wouldn't be able to guess what at the bottom part of it!

An ice skating rink ... of all things. Had a chuckle at that :-) Didn't expect to hear of that over there.
