It's been a while ...

Since I have done anything scrapbook related, let alone blog about it! Anyway I have been thinking the last couple of weeks that I would really like to do a December Daily album again, especially since we will be moving early December. So I decided to make it super simple and purchased this 8x8 pad of Christmas papers from Graphic 45. I liked this collection because there was no "snow" themed pages. :-)

I am telling you it really was very simple and probably took me half an hour (once I had unearthed the tools I needed from my semi packed craft area)! I trimmed the pages, glued 4 of them onto the front and back covers, punched the holes, threaded the rings and stuck the stickers on the front and it's done! Haha ... now hopefully this year I can actually finish the jolly thing!
.
Here's the cover.

And the back.
I didn't have enough papers for 26 days (that's what I am doing to fit in with Grandma's visit) and I was looking through my stash of Christmas papers, but nothing really seemed to match colour wise, so I decided I would just use other G45 papers from a different collection. So that's what I did. These papers will be used on days where I know there is nothing Christmasy happening at all :-)
I think this one will be our "moving day" page :-)

Looking forward to starting (and finishing!) this.

Anyone else doing a December Daily album this year?

Thanks for visiting.

Kinda Sweet ...

Before I left for our holiday the Kinda Sweet ladies gave me some product to play with :-) Amongst the bundle was Pink Paislee overlays and lots of yummy Graphic 45 papers. I created these last month ... just been a bit slow blogging them!
.
And as usual while I have been here at my parents ... the LO's are for my Mum, so have left the journalling for her to do :-)
.
I had 2 of the Pink Paislee overlays and wanted to show 2 totally different looks - this is what I came up with.
.
LO #1 - Does the flower taste better than it smells?

LO #2 - Quiet Reflection
LO #3 - Builder Working (using Studio8 papers - circus collection).

LO #4 - Model Maddison (using Graphic 45 papers)

LO #5 - Mitchell (using Graphic 45 papers)
LO #6 - Tickets to the Tram (left side of a double LO) - (using Graphic 45 papers)

LO #7 - Tickets to the Tram (right side of a double LO) - (using Graphic 45 papers)

LO #8 - Train Enthusiasts (using Graphic 45 papers)

Cards using Graphic 45 papers ...

Thanks for looking :-)

Saturday Stuff

Been a bit of a lazy morning around here! Aaron came into our bed around 4am and by 5.30am I was so sick of his wiggling and kicking me in his sleep that I went to try and have a sleep in his bed! Maddison had just woken up about 7.30am (well she had woken earlier, but went back to sleep when I whispered to her to lie back down!) :-) when Aaron came in and said "No Mummy that's too small for you!" Hummm ... "what's too small for me Aaron?" "MY BED"!!! I had great pleasure telling him that yes it was too small for me and didn't he think it would be better for me if he slept ALL night in his bed then?!! ;-) hehehee we'll see if it works!
.
Aaron's spent some of the morning doing this (yep, he takes after his Father!).

While Maddison was pulling the xylophone to pieces!
Yesterday I played with some Graphic45 papers. Last Wednesday they posted a sketch which I liked the look of. I had these photos in my 'to scrap' pile so decided they would be perfect, I did alter the sketch a bit though as you can see from their blog here - twisted it and only used 3 squares down the sides (didn't have enough photos! that's unusual for me aye!) Like those little checked squares ... sort of fits with the "racing" theme! LOL

Materials -
Graphic45 patterned papers, Bazzill cardstock, American Craft Thickers, Tattered Angels Olive Vine Glimmer Mist
.
And I'll leave you with some more sneaks from what I've created from Scrap-n-Crop's April kit. The first 2 pics are from a LO (there's that Olive Vine glimmer mist again!) :-) And the 3 pic is a little mini album I made.

Right, better go and sort something out for lunch before Maddison wakes from her nap.

Showing Off

I'm allowed sometimes aren't I??? ;-)

Graphic 45 have a call out for cards made with their papers, so I thought I would send pictures of these ones I did for Kinda Sweet. And during the night I got an email to say they were up on their blog. Can't wait to get some of their new papers to play with ... so colourful!

Also Basic Grey accepted another of my LO's into their gallery ... the 'Today You' you one I posted about the other day :-)

Altered Box for a Dozen Cards

I've had this empty box (had chocolates in it ... of course! :-) heehee) for a while and also this beautiful Graphic 45 paper from Kinda Sweet. So decided I would make a little set of cards to fit in the box and have it for a gift for someone. It's pretty simple and quick to do, but I just love these papers :-) I used 3 different papers (they are double sided) from Kinda Sweet (Graphic 45 - Secret Garden, Wallflower and Antiquity) and inks, brads, floral trim, embellishments and foam tape from my stash.
.
The paper that the box is sitting on is what I used on the cards for the background.

Close up of the cards ...

And this is what the back of my cards looks like :-)

Thanks for looking.

Tuesday

What a day! Lyndon got up early (real early for him! LOL) around 6am and got picked up by his boss around 6.45am and is off to a conference for the week. He's staying at a hotel near/at the venue for today and tomorrow because of the "wining and dining" that's happening and the venue is about 30kms away, which isn't far, but is when you put the traffic into the equation!

Aaron came in to our bed soon after Lyndon left and about 7.15am decided it was time to get up and tell the world about anything and everything! Sigh ... so of course Maddison was awake soon after! Little pets.

After lunch Maddison was sitting in a plastic toy container and Aaron pushed her and she toppled out face first onto the tiles ... very noisy and messy! Big tears, loud wails, lots of blood, a cut lip and a very fat lip! She's okay, but it didn't look that flash and then Aaron had the cheek to tell me to clean the floor because it was dirty! (Had a blood trail from when Maddison had run to me!)

Anyway she got her revenge later in the afternoon after she had a sleep. Grabbed his arm and popped one of his sunburn blisters. Owwwww ... that was a noisy affair too. After I sorted that out and had a good look decided I needed to take him to the Dr to get it checked in case he got an infection. Sigh ...

To cut a long story short ... the cleaner that was supposed to take Tess's place while she was away never contacted me but her cousin did! She was supposed to be here by 1.3opm today and arrived about 4.15pm! Got a bus and 2 taxis to get here??? Very strange. Anyway she did a good job and is fast at ironing :-) heehee. So because she was late and didn't leave till 7.30pm I couldn't go to the Dr's until then. We were at the Dr's for 2 hours!!!! It wasn't even busy, but by the time we got seen, had Aaron's arm cleaned and bandaged (thinks he's a real invalid now!) and waited for prescriptions, it was 9.40pm by the time we got home.

I had some play time today though :-) Been mucking about with the papers in the Child's Play kit from Kinda Sweet. I had made 10 ATC's and several cards and a book mark all from a piece of the Lollapalooza paper that I thought was in the kit but wasn't! (Duh!) Anyway got a LO finished today, will photograph that tomorrow, and in the mean time, here's the ATC's and cards etc. I made (not showing them all because some haven't made it to the recipient yet!).

If anyone wants to swap an ATC let me know :-) I have 8 left to swap :-)
