Another job to do ...

I just walked into the boys bedroom and discovered this!!!  Now he's not solely to blame for the mess ... the 3 of them were making huts!
.
So there he is up on top of the toy box playing with some cars wearing one of Aaron's sneakers!  Happy as you please :-)

(It annoys me when I can't rotate these pics!)

Saturday ... one little boy got to check out the Ferrari shop with his Daddy!

That night our Condo put on a Lok Lok night for residents.  (It's food on a stick for my NZ readers hehee)  The truck pulled up, set up it's tiny generator for the lights, put on to boil the water and oil and away everyone went.  You chose the sticks you wanted and then cooked them in either the water or oil.  (We felt a little bit conspicuous because there were only about 3 other 'white' faces there! hahaa)

So now I am off to sort out the toy bins and make some sort of order in there!

Kids

It's been a while since I updated sorry! It's been a bit full on with bugs here :-( We have all been sick, but apart from Samuel we're all well again now. Here's some pics of what's been happening since I last updated.
.
This week at school Aaron is the "Super Star", which means he takes along photos to pin up on the wall about himself and his family. So he's taken pics of us, his grandparents, his cousins, sack riding with Grandma, seeing the Tuatara's at the Southland Museum, feeding baby lambs with Nana, and of course himself with his all time favourite car! (Wearing matching accessories of course hehee)

Samuel has been learning to play Angry Birds!!
The tooth fairy has paid another visit :-)
At 5.30am the following morning Aaron & Maddison came into our room and were reading the letter from the tooth fairy by the night light on the air purifier! Yeah thanks kids for waking us up!
Maddison had a dress up day and chose to wear her Chinese dress again. Here she's playing with a new Japanese sushi tea set in her class room.

When Samuel and I take Maddison to school as soon as we get to her class he's off like a shot to the book shelf and gets down this book ... every single time!
This week Aaron has had dress up day every day of the week. Monday was pajama day, Tuesday was twin day so the boys wore blue and the girls wore pink, Wednesday was rainbow day, Thursday was favourite celebrity or a book character (I really wanted him to go as Tintin, but he didn't want to wear a blue shirt! So he went with his Ben 10 tee-shirt), today they went wearing orange and black for Tiger Day and were also raising money for the endangered Malayan Tiger.
.
I walked down to school on Monday to take some pics of him and his class mates in their pj's.

Had to laugh at his work on the wall ... he is really into doing what he calls "evil" faces at the moment ... so he gave himself an evil face (it's all about the eye brows apparently!). Love his drawing of New Zealand as well :-)

When his teacher found out he had lost a tooth he got to write his name on a paper tooth and pin it to the tooth fairy "Lion"!

Maddison drew a picture for Grandma ... hope you like your undies with the heart on them Grandma heheheheheheeeeee
Since Aaron started school last year I have been struggling to get him to eat all his lunch, in particular his sandwiches. This week I thought I would try something a little different and use my collection of cookie cutters. He loves gingerbread men, so this week he has had a gingerbread man sandwich (with a heart) every day and what do you know ... he's eaten it every day as well! Fantastic! Long may it last!

I went on the bus with Aaron to school today so I could take pics again. When we got to school there were a "tiger team" doing face painting. So I asked him if he wanted his face painted and he did! (last year there was no way he would have done that!).

When I left his tee-shirt had heaps of face paint on it already ... goodness knows what it's going to be like by the time he gets home today!
.
So that's us ... roll on the weekend!
.
Thanks for visiting.

Saturday Shopping

Thought it was about time I did some updating here!
.
Last Saturday after lunch we headed into China Town and Little India. The kids have a costume day on Wednesday at school so I wanted to get them an Indian outfit each. So they did this (Aaron was finishing off the dregs of my frosty lemon tea!) ...

While Lyndon inspected the goods at one of his favourite haunts! LOL

It was hot and I was exhausted by the time we had made it back to the Central Market where we'd parked. We decided to have tea there since it was just after 5pm ... so stopped in at Secret Recipe.

I just laughed at this pic - the water must have been really cold and she could feel it cold in her tummy hehehee
Driving back home I noticed a "certain" type of car parked in our parking building so since we had the camera we walked down a few levels and got a pic of a "certain" little boy that's crazy about Ferrari's! He just thought it was the best thing :-)

And tonight Maddison decided to race off with one of Aaron's trains and tried to get under the dining table, but miscalculated and whacked her head in the exact same spot on her eyebrow as last time (you can read about that here). Hard to tell in this pic, but there's quite a lump and I slathered arnica on it, but I think it will still bruise a little. (Be nice for their class photos tomorrow won't it!)

So that's been us the last few days :-) I'll be back tomorrow with some pics of the kids in their Indian costumes :-) heheheee

Well who do we have here???

Check this out ...

(click to enter then click on the black and white photo, then click launch and see if you can spot who's "famous"!)

heheeee

Not the most flattering photo of him! lol

It's a Warrie ...

When the "boys" go off for the day together!!! ;-)
.
Aaron's star chart wasn't that great a success last week ... Monday 2 stars, Tuesday 4 stars, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday only 1 star each day. But we decided that he would go and do something with Daddy to show that when he does get stars on his chart there really would be a reward. Although on saying that I am not sure how we are going to top his reward from yesterday!!! :-) (And so far today he hasn't got a star! ... but he's asleep now, so he might get one for having a sleep!)
.
Aaron had been going on the last couple of days about going to the Thomas Playground (if anyone knows where that is let us know, because we sure don't!!). So Lyndon said to him they would go in the car and Aaron could tell Daddy where it was and show him where to go. So off they went! LOL They turned right out of the driveway (we usually go left) and headed down the road, round the corner, up the hill (using Aaron's language here!) and they got to a shopping complex where we sometimes go to get groceries and Aaron admitted to Daddy that he just wasn't sure where the Thomas Playground was! hehehee What a laugh.
.
End result was that Lyndon took charge of the directions from there and they ended up at Mid Valley Mega mall. And oh joy ... guess what was there?!!! A Ferrari clothes shop and a real LIVE "warrie" :-) Talk about major excitement! So his Nibs is now the very proud owner of a Ferrari cap.

I don't think he was that impressed that the Ferrari was roped off, but he did get to touch it. And Lyndon said that the security guard had to keep telling Aaron to not touch the ropes! (ha that would have been like water off a ducks back!)

They had Baskin Robbins ice-cream.
Did lots of other things too and got home very late for little boys ... he was totally wiped out ... didn't even stir when I got him ready for bed (oh yeah I did take the hat off!) hehee
Maddison and I had fun too ... we walked down to the Baskin Robbins shop near us later in the afternoon and she shared an icecream and a chocolate blast drink with me (I am sure everyone in a 20m radius could hear her saying "MORE, MORE, MORE" all the time!! lol)
.
I've done some scrapping this week too. Finished all my bits and bobs with the April kit for Scrap-n-Crop (I am feeling very proud of myself actually ... it's not even the last week of the month and I am finished!) heheee
.
Been playing some more with my Basic Grey archaic papers. I have decided it's heaps of fun to have a stash of "matching" papers to play with, cut out bits of this one and that one and it all ties in together. I like :-) Been scrapping some photos of Aaron taken in 2006 that have been printed and sitting in my pile for just a wee while!! I've completed 2 LO's and have another one half done.

This one I used a couple of my new Ali Edwards stamps "today you". Love her stamps.

And this is the little memory album about my Aunty that I made for my cousin. She's received it so I can show a pic here :-) It's an accordian album, so there's pics on both sides. Now I just need to do one for me!!

Okay, off now to tidy up the lounge, there's train track everywhere ... the biggest track you ever did see! Under the couches, round the coffee table, under the coffee table, alongside the bookcase and keyboard. It's jolly dangerous at night I tell you!! Would be okay if it was just flat track, but the bridges seem to be just in the right place to trip you up!

Test Drive ...

Last night I took the Ferrari for a spin, must say it's pretty quick off the mark and makes a great sound :-) hee hee (That's probably the best part of it!!)

Found out though it doesn't pay to leave the lights on ... battery can go flat! Funny that.

So more pics to come ... need to find a time when I can take photos in the light without the kids interrupting .. maybe this afternoon when Tess comes.
