SE Friday Night Challenge

This Friday's challenge at SE was to use numbers, ribbon & polka dots. A while ago I asked my sister if she would mind me posting pics of her boys on my blog! She said okay, but probably didn't realise I would do this one! hee hee

Maybe this one?

I like this one ... just finished the journalling now, photo a bit dark sorry ... cloudy today. Can you tell I am into this scalloped paper at the mo??? :-)

Journalling reads:

NOW ... WHAT WAS THAT PASSWORD?

I just happened to have the camera with me this day when you were trying so hard to get the ‘poodoo’ working. I loved capturing your expressions as you were typing all sorts of gibberish and then telling me “it’s not working” with a shake of your head. You were even using the mouse and positioning it on the password icon to see if that would magically make it work.

Aaron, you are such a gadget kid, if it’s electronic then you have to have a turn on it. Cellphones, computers (or ‘poodoos’ as you call them), laptops, cameras, videos are all so interesting to you. You spend hours with your Daddy on-line watching funny little video clips and checking out the Winnie-the-Pooh, Bob the Builder and Thomas the Tank Engine websites. While you are waiting for a web page to load you say “here it comes, it’s coming …” and you are fair shaking with the excitement of it all. Daddy has saved some joke dinosaur cartoons from YouTube under favourites and you know which directory they are in and Daddy gets told “go this way, that way, noooo, this one, noooo, this one”.

4 March 2008

Events of this morning ... Aaron dropped his dummy out the window (again!). So big tears and sobs about that, but he had to wait as I was still in my pj's and I certainly wasn't venturing out like that! Found it on the roof of a balcony on the 6th floor, so had to ask one of the staff to get it for us.

I gotta tell you this ... just before Aaron was watching a kids dvd and there's this music on it at the end and the words are something like this "... the time of your life, so live it well ...". Anyway Aaron's dancing around singing with it and he sings it like this "... the tie ... like, so like ... well"! Such a crack up. You probably have to see him dancing and singing it though to laugh! :-)

Right must go and tidy up the mountainous pile of toys in the lounge before Tess comes.

Back to the drawing board ...

Here's the LO I been working on ... finished it off this morning. It's okay, but it's not my favourite! Dash it all. Oh well ... you get that. I tried some different things for me on a LO. Incorporated some of my stamping habits!!! I used a versamark pen and traced the outline of the daisy's then clear embossed them and filled them with dimensional magic. Patterned paper, embellishments and butterflies are from April's Paper Pesto kit, card stock around photo is from my stash and so are the Hero Arts gems I've used to give a little "bling" on the butterflies and small flowers. I tried to follow the curves of the blue flourish for the muddle of embellishments ... not sure that it actually worked!

So here it is and also a close up of one of the flowers.

Other news ... Aaron got into the calamine lotion this morning while I was in the shower. I discovered him sitting oh so quietly in the kitchen with the door shut and lotion all up his legs, and all over the floor. Took me 20 minutes to clean the floor as he'd picked a mosaic tile to rub it into! Very pesky all those little groves!

Okay, better go sort some lunch out I suppose.

Woo Hoot

How can it be Wednesday already??? The days are fair whizzing past ... nearly half the year is over ... how scary is that! So ... my woo hoo's for today are:

1. Aaron slept in this morning (sort of!) ... he came into our room just after 7am, but I suspect he'd been up and about before then as the curtains in his room and the lounge were open!

2. It hasn't rained today ... amazing!

3. Two more sleeps till Lyndon is home.

4. Finished my LO for NZ Dare challenge (see previous post) and now I working on another LO that might just be my "favourite" that I submit for the Scrap-n-Crop contest registration.

5. Aaron went to bed tonight with hardly any fuss (that's really amazing!!) - so far he hasn't got out of bed either and that's even more amazing!

Think that's about it. Off to my desk now to fiddle/faddle with this LO :-)

Dare # 45

This time round the Dare is one of Trina's sketches. So here's my take on it. Love these pics of the kids. One time when Maddison was "helping" Aaron and he wasn't pushing or hitting her, or telling her "no share"!

I was sure I had a fine nib gold pen, but do you think I can find it!! Anyway went down to the local stationery shop this morning and they only had a gold permanent marker, so I thought .. yeah I can make do with that. Once I started writing though it was pretty gold compared to the stickers - but when I went to rub out my pencil lines the rubber toned down the glossiness of the gold! Excellent ... now it's much better :-)
